I've known enough working professionals in my life too that being extremely knowledgable and educated in a particular field doesn't exempt you from being an idiot.

There are many areas in which Biden is Captain Consensus, but foreign policy is the one area where even when he's wrong he doesn't just phone it in. He genuinely cares and knows everyone on every side of every issue. Whenever he starts pontificating on the topic it can actually get pretty interesting, though of course as Biden he can flub the poo poo out of it too.
