I didn't even know Florrie had a new music video out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5O88XmgHhrU I kinda like this song, I guess. The only songs that have really won me over from Florrie has been I Took A Little Something and Summer Nights, but I can definately see how people like her music. Edit: Oh. Live a Little is awesome too.

Experimenting With Rugs is Florrie's best song. To The End is a close second.

Experiments is definitely her best release. I've been a bit underwhelmed by most of the stuff she's done since then, there are a couple of good songs here and there as well as some absolute dross. also her best song is probably Left Too Late

I forgot about Left Too Late, that is a great song. If anyone hasn't heard her stuff, you can listen to most of her songs here. She used to have a bunch of free downloads/remixes on her website but I can't find them anymore.

Did you know that Boom Clap was supposed to be Hillary Duff's comeback single? I've listened to the song like three times in a row now trying to imagine it, and I just can't.

It's everything I wanted Cher's most recent CD to be Never been a fan of Celine Dion, but that song with Ne-Yo was pretty nice. I kinda don't like admitting this, but I really like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu because her music reminds me of when I was like 3-4 years old and listening to Aqua combined with Lady Gaga doses of craziness x1000 . Has anyone else listened to her latest album PikaPika Fantasian? I really didn't like it. Mostly I like only three or four songs from her albums, but from this one I only genuinely like one song because it has that level of weirdness and fun which I like from her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bFHzDa9U9w. I guess do do pi do is also fun, but mostly because of that piano beginning. Otherwise I found myself having a headache and skipping through nearly all songs because that was horrible. Oh, and the newest Neon Trees album is loving awesome . It reminds me of a happier version of Tegan and Sara's Heartthrob. Edit: I randomly found Zola Jesus through Spotify. I've been impressed by what I've listened to so far. I love the bass in this song, and the chorus is pretty good too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYb9t_pBTpI Stalins Moustache fucked around with this message at 22:57 on Aug 4, 2014 |

My latest earworm/radio favourite is from Broods, a New Zealand brother sister duo that have a solid EP out at the moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-Eobk_sfIc Definitely worth a listen to if you like Synth-Pop. Their first single was Bridges, but I prefer their latest. Thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U48jwC8cZU

Broods is a group that I feel I should like, but I just can't get into them. Like they're talented and very pleasant to listen to, but I've never actively pulled up one of their songs on Spotify.

I haven't listened to that album but Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is really good if you can stand to listen to her voice. The quality of the musical compositions are leaps and bounds above anything you'll hear in the Top 40s. Generally speaking Japanese pop acts have really good instrumentals but terrible vocals.

PUGGERNAUT posted:I'm jealous! i love them. You should try to see one of their shows or catch them at a street festival - I was front row with virtually no effort. It was a 45ish minute set and they attracted quite a crowd once things got going. It was a polished performance. The Filipina and Indian girl were the best vocally, but the hip hop girl (Japanese?) was great at what she did and had good energy. The tall, pretty one was tall and pretty. They said they live in LA now and are working on crossing over. Charice is on the same stage today.

Holy poo poo, Charice. The little girl who used to belt out Celine songs like nobody's business is now gyrating across the stage in a denim jacket while badly lip synching to hip hop songs. There were times when I could actually hear her and she sounded good, but overall I was significantly disappointed.

That's disappointing, I was rooting for Charice. She's so talented and has had a rough career She needs to do a feature on the next Kanye album or something. Or maybe a duet with Adele.
