I'm not actually on Facebook, so that's a no-go. Finding the save files on the old machine has proven to be tricky, since it seems everybody's got a different take on where Demiurge stores them. I've been all over forums trying to figure out which files are the important ones, and where to put them in the new install so that the game recognizes them. I've tried dozens of combinations, but so far, no good. That's why I finally went to the D3 support. I was hoping for a cut-and-dry "take these from here and put them here" kind of deal. So far, though, all they've had me do is jump through hoops and explain the problem to them four or five different ways, as if I were talking to a new person with every new support message back from them. Anyway, I didn't come here to gripe--just to let my alliance know that I still working on getting back in the game. Thanks for the ideas, though, and if anyone's got any others, I'd be glad to hear them.

Not to give away all my ~secrets~ but I've seriously realized here... do not join PvE events until about 2-3 days before the end, unless they're new and you want the story, or to grind ISO or something. I skipped the first half of the last one and still managed to hit the top progression prize and 35th place. 60k was a low top progression, but when it's the higher one, 150k or whatever, it's generally completely out of reach regardless.

Yeah this totally still works with PvP. I Played about 25 mins on one recently about 4 hours before it ended, got just over 200 points and finished with a 3* reward. Seems like playing less is worth more.

Yup the ol' trick of waiting to avoid the whale bracket still works. Also it seems like shields are used way less which is what caused me to stop playing in the first place. Teamups are kind of a pain in the rear end, I never get enough points to use one before I finish the match unless I really focus on only matching teamup icons. So now my inventory is full

Also they don't persist as selected between matches, that would be hugely helpful right now.

Well, Deadpool event is pretty funny so far. The animation for WHALES! WHALES! WHALES! is hilarious, dunno how you get the points yet (but I can guess) e: ha, it's taking the piss out of "Essential" missions now. With Essential missions. Well, Deadpool VS the villains was pretty funny in the end. Also I ended up winning a fight against Sentry because he blew everyone up with World Rupture apart from Hulk, and there were enough Strike Tiles for every hit to trigger Anger, so Hulk went mad and beat up the entire enemy team. Hulk is great. Also also I realised the fight with Bag-Man actually has all three characters being poo poo ones nobody likes.

Stuff came through a moment ago. Started the Deadpool thing way too early and got killed by whales. Started the Thor event late and got killed by lvl 249 Thors. This is life, I suppose.

The crash actually benefited me as I had managed a meager point 4th in a late Thor push but then everything went kaput so I still got 4th without having to play anymore
