His new plan to is to buy a bunch of lamps from the event and sell them for 250k after it's gone because there's going to be a huge demand. For lamps.

Basically goons are coordinating this point and flooding every market he tries to break in to. Ana spent 2m so far just to gently caress with this guy. It's pretty great.

I don't really get the consumables market. It seems like a lot of effort for something that floods out really easily and then just sits there. Wouldn't prisms just sit there (in stacks of 1) and at best have a low 4 digit margin?

Not if you and a bunch of other crafters get a monopoly, which is what he was trying to do before someone with a bunch of money cockblocked him for shits and giggles. Honestly if Ana didn't get the ball rolling they would have been pretty successful for awhile.

Yeah, the glamour market is actually pretty steady since somebody is always out there who wants to change up their look. If you happen to be the only person supplying a given glamour it can be decently lucrative as long as you don't overdo it and flood your own market. It's when several people who are willing to undercut each other are making the same glamour at once that the price drops like a rock, because they will invariably put glamours up for sale faster than people will buy them. Or when you want to gently caress with somebody by tanking the market they are trying to corner.

The prisms don't suddenly stop working a week from now when the price invariably drops down to sub-normal levels from the flooded market and serial undercutters.

I'm on the last day of my free trial and am considering buying the game, but it's hard convincing myself to spend the money. How often does the PC version go on sale? If I could get the base game for a decent price, it would at least make paying a subscription fee more palatable.

Cialis Railman posted:I've heard of it, but don't have access. Why's it gated off, anyway? Quite a few things are gated after you get your first character to 50. Up to that point, you're progressing through the story, learning about the world, and learning how to play. All the endgame stuff is just things to keep players playing

Cialis Railman posted:I've heard of it, but don't have access. Why's it gated off, anyway? Probably to streamline the first 1-50 class as much as possible? Basically, there's no reason, (which is the reason for a lot of minor annoyances in this game) but you should be replacing gear so often while leveling that glamours would be a waste of money anyway. It really is something best left until you start solidifying your gear set. You'll get access to way more cool looking stuff at 50 anyway. Boogalo posted:Square seems hellbent on making nonsensical design decisions to offset some of the really nice QoL things. EX: easy access to teleport, but you still must desynth one fish at a time. Don't get me started on desynthing. The whole mechanic feels like it's ripped from a much shittier game.
