Well then what would be the point then? The only guy in Giorno's youth who had any good in them (other than his mother) and modeled his life after turns out to be a crazy, daughter-murdering rear end in a top hat. That'd be kind of a downer, and take even more wind out of the sails of already weak ending. "Giorno became boss. The End" becomes "Giorno became the boss because SOMEBODY had to, even though it's pointless because his dream was a delusion."

Anyway I dunno, "you inspired me to do something but you actually turned out to be an rear end in a top hat, so I'm gonna continue doing what you should've been doing" is a common enough thing. It's not like his dream is any more or less of a complete delusion if the dude that inspired it turns out to be an rear end in a top hat later because (especially since the other members of brunos gang all had basically the exact same dream). Besides, it'd give diavolo any sort of connection with the protagonist that isn't a meta one because out of all the people in the group he gave the least of a poo poo about trish.

That, and it just feels weird that the dude just stopped following him around out of nowhere.

Honestly I kind of saw it as the latter anyway. Sure, you can say Giorno changed the gang in his image, but from the sound of it the entire group was full of terrible people from the start.

All the major people were already dead anyway, though. The only named Passione members who survived were Giorno, Mista, and Fugo. Mista and Fugo were probably not very good people, of course.

Well I remember reading the early chapters late high school or early college. That was about a decade ago. Maybe there was a different group back then? At any rate, I said I forgot.

I wonder if we're going to move from Part 3 to Part 4 as quickly as we moved from Part 2 to Part 3, or if it'll be streamlined now. Part 4 seems kind of a safe bet to me at this point assuming David doesn't manage to bungle the rest of the current anime.

It depends on if David wants to take on other projects. Considering that they're doing up to Egypt, taking three months off, then finishing part 3 it seems like they might be accepting their role as the Jojo studio for a long while.

I think the fact that JoJo is doing pretty well for them financially speaking is a big factor in it.

He also sort of used aliens as a plot point in part 5, with the origins of the arrow. I'm glad he forgot about that though, because it was stupid.

Don't see why David wouldn't continue with JoJo. It's safe money for years to come, and getting their hands on such a high-profile series is pretty much what has lifted them from obscurity. Why drop the series that's giving you both fame and fortune?

Yeah I was about to say, the reason people are so surprised with DP is how great they've treated jojo while being almost totally unknown. I was like, "wait the only thing DP did of note before JoJo was Ben-To, not mother fuckin Lupin anything"

I thought David Production did great work on Level E and The Book of Bantorra, so I was happy when I heard that Phantom Blood was in their hands. (Not that I'd read any Jojo at that point, but I wanted to.)

Thanks for posting this. I just finished reading Purple Haze Feedback and it was really good. It didn't have any contributions from Araki, right? Because the new Stands were really great and the author had a really good understanding of what made Stands unique. I think that reading this actually made me appreciate part 5 more, it was pretty good.
