any other stupid artist would have released it on the dark net accompanied with a barely comprehensible 20 page thesis on why the darknet is good and how they're glad to be involved in soemthing so important and freedome of information!!! and richard just drops it on twitter with no explanation

i guarantee you there will be an interview with pitchfork or something where someone asks 'what made you choose...the dark net how was it significant to you??? what was the artistic choice"? and he'll just say something stupid

last time richard d james made an album he didnt even have the full power of a macintosh computer behind him. just imagine what hee's capable of now!

btw it was probably a couple years ago that he said he recorded about 10 albums that he hasn't released yet and all this time he hasn't released anything because he's been going through a divorce with his wife for "stealing from him".

also reddit "I've combed the entire source of the site, both the .com and the .onion. There are no easter eggs, no hidden messages. If anything, the site is a little sloppy." "The site on the Tor network even retains the analytics scripts of the .com site, which is useless on a .onion." I think THAT is the point: What a wonderful juxtaposition! The .com withholds the album info while the .onion withholds your personal info. Nicely done."

RDJ really helped me get out there to listen and explore new music, then i went back to aphex and figured out 90% of his material was just borrowed techniques from better composers, maybe thats was the point, i don't know .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dph-bkJL_wM
