Rush irritated me pretty good today. He has taken to calling that guy who got shot 'Gentle Giant,' and would not shut the gently caress up. I haven't verified if this is true, but he found a story saying the Gentle Giant had marijuana in his system. I'm thinking, bummer, but that means dick. Then Rush pulls the Trayvon and says the the Gentle Giant was stealing Swisher sweets because they are known for being excellent to make blunts. So it became a cop stopped a black man who was hopped up on marijuana with the intention of making more blunts. Why is the left upset by this?

Like Rush Limbaugh needs or requires ears anyway. In other Rush related news, I caught about 15 minutes of his daily bullshit today and, according to him, Mike Brown had...wait for it...marijuana in his system!. Whether it's true or not, I have no idea, but it's funny (and by funny I mean sad) that an Oxy addict can use this "fact" to justify shooting a kid 6 times - twice in the head - but also to posit himself as an expert for what weed does the human brain. I wonder what he might have said if Brown had Hydro or Oxy in his system? Rush even went on to describe how Swisher Sweets (the cigars the kid allegedly stole) are used "primarily to roll 'blunts'". Swisher Sweets is a redneck, southern tobacco company rooted in the truest sense of the free market and the southern tobacco industry. What's Rush got against the free market? If the kid is guilty of anything, it's for wasting his weed by dumping a sixteenth of an ounce into some stupid cigar instead of bonging it up hit by hit but yeah. Probably he deserved to be shot six times for smoking pot and stealing cigars. Rush Limbaugh: noted expert on the ways that psychoactive drugs affect one's judgement.

I'm sure most people pointing out his supposed character flaws wouldn't feel that the cops are justified to shoot them 6 times when they roll through a stop sign, let alone walk in the street.

The Devil's Weed must be eradicated from our society at all costs. Didn't you know that it's a gateway drug? Every single person who has ever smoked weed once will, without fail, end up being a coke-addled wreck that's a danger to everybody around them. Well sure he was on weed at the time but we just know that he has done other drugs in his life, because who stops at just weed, and was probably brain fried and feral as a result. Al Sharpton may be personally responsible for the Ferguson brou ha ha, but just remember that the guy who got pulled over with a car full of guns on his way to the TIDES foundation who later gave a jailhouse interview all but saying he was inspired by Glenn Beck (the only person talking about them at the time)...is not Glenn Becks fault.

Family dinners are so fun these days. I like that I'm the only one in my family, since both my grandfathers, to be deployed during a war. It kinda curbs the assault from all the rightwing nuts in my family that would never dream of joining the military. Although my sister said that I don't need help from my father for college, like she does, because I get all that free money from the government. edit Speaking of political interactions, Diane Rehm had a good interview last week that touched on the recent polarizations in communities over politics and online trends and some other stuff: http://thedianerehmshow.org/shows/2014-08-11/effects-increasing-digital-connections-relationships-and-community

If they know you're a liberal, this will throw them off. When they ask, just be honest: "Any time prominent republicans start talking about impeachment, it pisses off and motivates the Democratic base, it'd be just like if Obama did a press conference saying that he was going to ban all guns, it'd get the right wing riled up, impeachment is the best thing that could happen to the Democrats and would mean substantial gains in 2014 and 2016. The Fox News radio breaks can get so infuriating with how biased the framing is. Then its followed by their other slogan "we report, you decide." You can easily tell what they want you to decide on with how far right the "reports" are. On a side note one of those that has haunted me for an entire year was so short and simple. It basically stated that on average women are currently 17 pounds heavier because they don't do as much housework today, followed by "we report you decide." Still makes me angry thinking about that one.

I've posted this on here before I think, these segments were designed to keep the viewer scared and clueless about the outside world. They would only show natural diasters (extra points if its from a 3rd world country), something minor in the UK or Europe as 99% of the world is from Europe, and then a bizzare custom from some 3rd world country to enforce the idea that minorities are strange. Not sure if its the same poo poo these days, wouldn't be suprised if it is.

Would anyone make the argument that capitalism has basically eaten itself, like as the final conclusion of a zero sum game similar to (as dumb as it sounds) Monopoly? That's what I'm feeling and seeing. I don't think it's sustainable and, if it is, it aint gonna be pretty moving forward. Isn't the whole "right wing media" movement just another way to justify the behavior of the owners of Boardwalk and Park Place by building a big media empire committed to asking people on Baltic Avenue to gently caress off and telling them "tough luck"? I don't know. Maybe my analogy's off but it dawned on me while reading the thread that the game is only over when one guy has all the money and owns all the land. I'd say at 99% to 1%, it's time to concede. How do you dig out? Especially when so many people are convinced they lost fair and square by the very right wing outlets who are loving them over?

From yesterday, quote:RUSH: I've just been handed a note, ladies and gentlemen. It is from the Washington Post, now owned by Jeff Bezos. Here's the headline: "County Investigation: Michael Brown Was Shot from the Front, Had Marijuana in His System." (gasping) Oh, no. No wonder Holder wants to do a third autopsy. The funny part is that Limbaugh opened his program this morning whining about how he was being unjustly attacked by the media for engaging in character assassination when after his initial jest about engaging in character assassination he proceeded to engage in character assassination His callers have been raging against Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton a ton lately too, which is disturbingly par for the course whenever something in America happens that requires a deep examination of race and socioeconomics
