quote:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

If there was a difference then they weren't the same and he didn't get the same life experience from having traveled one vs. the other? I'm no poetamatician but literally every layperson in the world understands that poem to mean "try something different you'll be a better person for it" so I can't understand your nihilistic interpretation at all.

There is some very sensual touching going on in the cutscene there. i don't actually think it means anything sexual but it's cool how it contrasts with modern ideas of what bad ass stuff should be like. It even seems authentic to some kind of chivalric masculine touching from a tyme longe gone

You are right superficially. Frost does say that neither road looked obviously superior to the other. The difference is in where they led.

Not really - it doesn't matter where they lead, as Frost can't see. He just took the road that fewer others did - he has no idea why fewer people took it, or where it leads, or what. Maybe there was a notice about bandits that he missed. Or a fallen log! What a dumb traveler Frost is. Should've done his research.

Everybody really needs to read the entire poem again. He explicitly says that the roads are worn down equally -

Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.

-but when he tells the story as an old man, he'll SAY that he took the road less traveled.

It's a college town but this was not on campus or anything. I doubt it was a student, but it's possible, this was hanging in a laundromat nowhere near the campus side of the area (still plenty of students live everywhere around here so who knows).
