Logan, I know you're a Bitcoiner so math, finance, and business may not be your strongest subjects... but could you explain to me why anyone would want to pay you $50 for two standard guitar picks, $30 each for some copper ones, or $100 for an aluminium one, when he could just order from Clayton's and get 100 custom standard picks for $35, or 100 metal picks for $95, printed and ready to go?

Where's the value proposition? Wouldn't it be easier just to be a middle man for Clayton's? Even if you needed to do some work getting pictures into the right formats, it wouldn't take $20,000 in startup costs.

Hello Kevin and thanks for commenting. We've done our research into this even before starting this kickstarter. What we're trying to do is offer custom instrument picks only - not run of the mill blanks. Clayton charges $35 per pick plus the cost of whatever customization the customer wants done to it. In the case of the aluminum picks, the end result would save the customer $10 if backed from here. Once the kickstarter has been backed in full, we can offer custom guitar picks for less - an aluminum pick fully customized would cost $10.

Thanks again for your comment,
Matt & Nicole

To clarify, the 20,000 we're asking for will be going towards an ink cups inkjet printer w/guitar pick tray, extra ink, cutters, stock, and advertising. I can be reached by message for specifics.

if they use the same technology that the manufacturers use to print "fender heavy" on the pick, it's not going to last very long, anyway

there's got to be at least 400 people in my region right now who would kill for some pretty specific dish from an exotic region. if we all spent $50 dollars we could afford to ship someone out from exotic region to cook for a few days i bet it would work out and we'd be able to provide all the cooking tools and things they need seems like a good idea for a cookstarter

or you can just keep a pat of butter out of the fridge, and it'll be soft and spreadable and still stay fresh for ages unless you live in a trailer in the desert with no air conditioning or something.

but that doesn't involve 3D printing so welp
