It's hilarious how the news will point to Mortal Kombat or Doom as a video game that causes violence when they don't even bat an eye at any given multiplayer Mario game.

Zero Mission controls way, way better than Super Metroid does. It can be pretty frustrating to go from the GBA Metroids to Super where you need to tab twelve times to Power Bomb or press three buttons to aim diagonally in different directions.

Yeah, basically. Zero Mission is the most metroid game of them all, and everyone should play it. Fusion was good but felt super restricting, like it was betraying its roots.

It's really good as long as you're playing with a group of people who are all trying to win the game and are aggressive out of the gate. It's dull as hell if everyone spends the first twenty eight of fifty turns or whatever passively slinking around the map trying to do as much as they can without stepping on somebody else's toes first.

Now that Retro's done with Donkey Kong, maybe they'll finally make Metroid Prime 4: Dread. But only after they rerelease Prime Trilogy HD, 1080p 60fps with updated textures, lighting and shadows, options for using Wiimotes or gamepad.

The physics are sluggish, space jumping is pretty broken, the beam sounds are kind of muffled, the regular beam looks pretty bad.

I never enjoyed the Spider boss in Fusion. It's still a great game, a few minor problems aside. Also it's your problem if you don't enjoy shooting a lizard so many times he falls into lava and gets turned into a skeleton.
