Like, I don't mind Pat if he was wrong, it's that he's aggressively wrong in the "I'm right, shut the gently caress up Woolie." Woolie's actually doing better when he ignores Pat and experiments on his own, like knocking Desert Sorcerers into Poison or shattering the wood shutters in Copse.

Pat's total lack of understanding of how strength scaling works and what two handing does is probably his greatest oversight. And that's totally not obvious advice, so it's the perfect thing to let Woolie in on; if he got good at switching between one and two hand, he would never need to waste another point on strength.

I see Smeltermania 2014 is off to a good start.  Gonna be interesting when they beat OIK, since that's the entrance to the new DLC. I have no idea if these recordings are that recent or if they even bought the dlc yet but seeing Woolie try to deal with an area even Pat doesn't know would be amazing.

I will say I got a kick out of saying "Goddammit Woolie, stop trying to tank the smelter demon, put your goddamn shield away, dodge, and punish," litteraly moments before he put his shield away and resolved to focus on dodging and punishing the Smelter Demon. He still got his rear end killed, but he's going in the right direction. Shame he doesn't have better pyromancy - flash sweat makes the late stages of the Smelter Fight absolutely trivial. I'm pretty sure when the Smelter ignites his sword, it trades off ALL of its physical damage for fire damage. Wear decent fire armor and cast flash sweat, and if you can live long enough for him to ignite his sword you become almost invincible.

They should get Liam in there for a few Dark Souls episodes. It sounds like Liam understands the game better considering Pat thinks Liam is too reckless and hasty when he plays the game, when that's just the natural result of someone Getting Good at Dark Souls. Also it would be fun to watch Pat and Liam argue strategy as Woolie just sits there trying to play the game.

I liked Soul Suspect if only because Matt and Pat kept throwing shade at Liam and Woolie for making it sound like a really decent game when it was just kind of okay. Prison Break, I hope they finish because it can only end in tears.

I love how nobody in this game ever changes expression at all. It's like they did all the lip-syncing and figured that was good enough. Never watched Prison Break but I hear that last few seasons got really loving stupid. Given what's happened in this game so far I can't say I'm surprised.
