Technically, yes, it's not allowed. But I have never had them tell me I couldn't bring in my own food and drinks. I've brought in 2 liter bottles of soda before and they didn't say anything. And they check your bags before you even get into the entrance plaza at Disneyland. I've never seen them say anything to anyone about bringing outside food into the park. So yeah, they could have taken the spinach into the park with no problems.

I've only been to Disney world once, actually back in February with my family. They didn't allow us to bring in water bottles either.

I think a lot of these are rules that aren't reinforced unless it becomes a real issue. Like someone brings food in with a particularly foul smell, or are making an absolute mess, etc. So they have something official to point to when they run into those rear end in a top hat who demand WHERE IT SPECIFICALLY SAYS I CANT EAT DURIAN IN THE PARK? WHERE? TELL ME WHERE. I WANT TO KNOW.

A water bottle can be used as a weapon if you stop on it and the bottle cap flies off and hits someone. This is a reason certain events don't let you bring them. Then again in the parks they SELL bottled water anyway so, really who knows. (Maybe also because there's ways of tampering with the contents of a water bottle without breaking the cap seal- like if you injected something through the plastic under the label and were good about sealing it back up somehow.)

Where is eighteen not a plus size? If she's in the UK, it's on the lower end of plus, but still plus.

At the same time, plus size sections tend to begin at 18. Still sounds distinctly like this person in the story is in the US, where a US 18 is definitely going to be plus.

'Fired on the spot' pretty much guarantees it's not in the UK (except that you could probably consider the language involved as "gross misconduct" in a retail setting, which is legally permitted to result in instant dismissal, but you'd still need to do it in writing with all the right legal paperwork and you'd probably say 'dismissed' rather than 'fired' as a result)

Basically if you take a cheapo bottled water you can stomp on it and it shoots a huge water gusher into the air at an angle. This is of course the kind of thing teenagers think is super cool and it's mostly harmless unless someone gets hit with one of the caps in which case its quite painful and can easily cut you, especially in an environment where people aren't wearing shirts. And then it leaves a bunch of wet plastic poo poo everywhere which people can slip on and your cleanup people have to pick up. As people have said I don't think it's really done anymore but it was at least considered an issue at a lot of outdoor events (Warped Tour etc) in the early 2000's.

Mayhem Fest lets you bring a bottle for water (and gives you access to fountains), but it can't have a cap, and when you buy bottled water, they keep the cap. Apparently there was an issue with assholes throwing the bottle caps at one of the bands a few years ago or something, I dunno.

It depends on your area as well. I used to do a lot of surveys for cash and one of the most common ones about clothing basically had you rate what level of classiness you associated with stores stocking specific sizes. I'm sure if you walk into many stores in certain areas that are more biased towards thin/obese people the sizing changes.

I don't have a ton of experience shopping in US stores - almost entirely online - because I am from the UK / live in the Netherlands. The online stores I'd seen all seemed to stop at US14 or US16 (if not lower) in the standard sizes.
