why are bideo games publishers so afraid to actually put gameplay in their adds? shame? fear of disappointment? poo poo builds early in development when the ad is produced? it's everywhere and i just lol everytime i see some 30 second fmv with no clue to even the game's genre.

I have 16BG of RAM and Lync can’t even scroll smoothly. The conversation with approx 60 lines (pretty short) will have to load the first previous messages as I scroll up, then load the recent messages as I scroll back down. They are momentarily invisible as I scroll, and the movement is jerky.

lync the client is a good example as to why wpf is a bad ui toolkit
lync the server is an good example as to why you shouldn't roll your own installer in powershell

no point releases, unless they come out with a new windows 8 fixed up edition it doesnt fit my scale, windows 8 is just garbage they need to fix the problem

that's why i counted 98 and 98 SE separately, they fixed the problem. windows 8.1 doesnt fix the problem with the pile of poo poo.

still not counting incremental point releases read the post buddy

3.1/3.11 were bug fix point releases that added minimal anything, at the end of the day windows 3.anything still was vastly inferior to 95 when it came out, like blow your brains out behind when they were still trying to patch it up. "a pile of poo poo with chocolate chips in it" isn't good or ok it is bad.

im a mac + unix guy shut up im not saying windows is better but you gotta note the pattern

also not gaming the system. 98 SE really was good compared to 98s bad. windows 3.1 was not good compared ot the bad that was windows 3 entirely.

and windows 2000 doesnt count. no NT kernels / business releases - the entire comparison is home user windows and NT kernel only becomes involved when it's in a consumer release, XP

Adium with the office communicator plugin works mostly, but it still doesn't handle group chats

granted neither does the official client.

the Mac version is famous for doing this during our deployments:

* group chat established with like 100 people in it
* one person has their connection hiccup
* that person's Lync session re-establishes. that person sees nothing special happen, and sees themselves as rejoining the same chat, but...
* the other 99 people are forced into a brand new chat room that the reconnecting person created by reconnecting
* mass confusion/chatter about how much Lync is pure dogshit occurs until someone nukes one of the chat rooms

why is it they can't do better than irc

"We have this notion that if you're poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids."

"Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids -- no, I really mean it." Biden said.

Lync is 50x worse than msn, released 12 years prior. It even looks like rear end and works 3% of the time. For a loving chat icq clone.
