Aoi-chan posted:If you want to make Miku sing with a MIDI guitar, I didn't see a MIDI in on the stomp pedal. You'd be better off using a the Gakken NSX-39 I mentioned earlier, hooked up to a PC routing MIDI from the guitar controller to it. The NSX-39 doesn't have a MIDI port, either, but it is controllable via MIDI over USB. I don't think the voice has an omni mode, though (it's "monophonic"), and I believe guitar controllers tend to map each string to separate channels. if it's just a plain effects pedal that in and of itself is neat enough, just means i wouldn't get to use it with the midi out also i just realized i probably have all but one piece i need to use my rock band pro guitar as a midi controller, sure as hell beats playing pro rock band guitar (i was so excited for that, then it was... not very good hooray rocksmith for picking up the slack)

Kind of related, I was informed today that according to the last UK census Heavy Metal is a religion with over six thousand followers. I'll be asking my boss tomorrow if this means I can claim all gigs as a religious holiday. Our company is ridiculously paranoid about upsetting people when it comes to religion and will practically allow anything if the words, "Religious beliefs" are applied so I wonder how far I can push this for laughs... although I'd feel guilty given I'd kind of be mocking others by doing it.

One of the main tenets of Heavy Metal is mocking religion, so you'd just be acting on your beliefs.

This custom job showed up on a Facebook group I belong to. I personally don't like the paint job, especially on the back where it's going to get scuffed all to poo poo. That pickguard also doesn't seem to fit the motif. He is going to play it in a rockabilly band, so maybe it will look better with the matching classic C&W outfit and pompadour.Facebook User posted:This is a parts caster. It is a Fender US Tele body (ash), Warmoth Ultra neck, Fender locking tuners, Fender modern bridge plate, my Esquire wiring, custom wound pickup set, my aluminum pick guard, and custom paint. [REDACTED] did some very nice fretwork to this neck too. It had vintage style fret wire and he managed to put some very nice 6150's in there. He also burnished the gloss off of the neck. This neck really is a good one thanks to him.

That would be really cool if they toned it down a bit. Pick guard is ugly as gently caress though.
