Yeah, I don't know where people get this idea that before cell phones we lived in an idyllic paradise where the person sitting next to you would entertain you for the entire trip with stories and you would form lasting relationships. The only difference between then and now is what we're reading.

Had to fix it but it's Urbaniak, who steals security cams from his sister Sedaris' home security business and installs them in public toilets. And that's not even the main plot of that episode.

Yes! But that's mostly because of how Alison says it. "Urine Luck" is hilarious and much cleverer than I'd expect from SVU, a show notorious for weird, out of touch references.

That's a good poster. This shot in my city. There are some horror stories about the production. But I hear the final product turned out really well despite it being an unorganized clusterfuck that treated the local crew members pretty shitilly.

It's even weirder because I'd say it is actually less a thing in the US than other countries like for instance France where kissing people on the cheek is a thing. Hell I cringe when I'm supposed to shake hands. I avoid handling cash whenever I can too so maybe I just have issues.

Don't touch me.

Speaking as someone who had a similar hairstyle, yes. I had kept it short for most of my life but finally decided to grow it out some 8 years ago.

The difference it made was nothing short of remarkable. Previously, folks found me imposing due to my height (6'8"), but all of that evaporated once I grew out the hair. Men and women, young and old would ask to touch my hair, complement me on it, ask for tips.

A couple years back I decided to cut half of it off and the stylist tried for several minutes to talk me out of it. Once she finally started cutting, a small crowd formed to watch. I never thought my hair was all that big a deal until the reactions proved otherwise.

Edit:

What Tamara's describing was exactly my experience when I wore my hair long.

I think American goons won't get it. Not even the phrase in it. They did a few parody posters, and so far this was the only good one.

A little explanation, there's an old series of comedy movies with a main character called "La India Maria", the woman in traditional clothes in there. "Matanga dijo la changa" ("Matanga the she-monkey said") means nothing. It simply something you shout when you snatch something. I believe it would be the Mexican version of "yoink".
