I'm more interested in a Yosemite release date, since Continuity is the coolest thing iOS 8 has going for it and it needs Yosemite.

In the last Yosemite build all my devices saw my Mac. In the newest one, none of them do. I'm not sure if it's my iPhone and iPad being on Beta 5, or Yosemite, or something else.

I'm hoping the iOS8 GM is a lot better at battery management than these betas. I mean, I'm sure it will be since it's a public release, but man, there have been times recently where my 5S' battery has seemed to perform worse than my iPhone 4 did. Of course, that's to be expected with beta software, and I'm probably a dummy for running the beta on my only iOS device

I wish my 2010 iMac had aged as much as you'd think a 4 year old machine should have so I could consider an upgrade to get a machine that could do all that cool stuff. Although my audio setup probably wouldn't work wonderfully anyway with it and give a ton of feedback.

I thought the OP would list several sites doing coverage. The video is nice, but sometimes the stream cuts out on me. The coverage sites post pictures and stuff.

Think I'm gonna finally take the plunge if I can get my hands on the iOS 8 GM. I usually wait. It's a shame I have a crippling inability to use 2 different PCs for different things or I'd be excited about Yosemite too.

I honestly don't remember the internet talking about the first iPhone much at all back in 2007, or at least not nearly as much as it does about the new iPhone today. Of course, I didn't feel like I really needed an iPhone until the 3GS came out and I got one of those in early 2010, so maybe I just hadn't been paying much attention to them before then.
