Stacey "Page" Staley was a blogger who combines the worst of TV news and online journalism, whose typical reporting amounts to "Someone just said on the police scanner that a car blew up and 17 children are dead, read more in our exclusive report!" only for it to turn out to be, in fact, a bird farting or something. No retractions in followup reporting, no apology, no waiting for actual facts to report, just plowing on ahead to the next inaccurate breaking news blurb. Rumour also is that the only reason the police, who hate her, ever cooperate with her is because she blackmails some of the officers. She recently did a four-part story on a guy who died last month in a shootout involving three bounty hunters trying to pick him up on an outstanding warrant. It was all about how the cops are out to get him, he's the victim of a conspiracy, he'll defend himself, and so on. An hour and a half after that interview was when the bounty hunters showed up and that guy wound up dead, and his twin brother and one of the three bounty hunters shot. It turned out that she set the whole thing up with the bounty hunters, agreeing to scope the place out and call them to confirm he was home. Even texted them what he, his brother and mom were wearing so they could identify everyone, which she did from a tanning bed in a nearby town to give herself an alibi. Almost every one of her fans turned on her once that got out and she maintained her innocence (of what, exactly, is unclear, since her story changes every time) right up until the newspaper that bankrolls her fired her from her own blog. The county could file charges for her involvement in the guy's death, and his family is likely to sue both her and the paper in a massive civil suit.

Given that they're israeli soldiers in gaza, it would have really delicious schadenfreude if whoever rolled the tyre had been Hamas and put a bomb in it. As it is, we have to settle for the schadenfreude of them falling over, and knowing that they got chewed out for letting themselves get so close to it where HAD it been a bomb it would have taken them out.

Anyone have the gif of that dirt bike which runs off the track on it's own after a crash? I know it's been posted before, but I couldn't find it and there are a lot of pages to look through.
