Ding ding ding Haha. I'm not actually 100% on it yet. If I'm rolling well enough along in school at the end of the semester, I may just go ahead and stick out the spring semester, then leave in May, do half, come back for the fall semester. Optimistically, 6 months total. Faster through the south than the north. Halfway point is Harper's Ferry, WV (something like that). So 3ish months next summer, 3ish the next. Then geology field camp summer '16. For me, anyway. And yeah, south to north.

Also kinda sure if I was gonna die from exposure, it probably would have happened in boot. The trail is remote-ish and whatnot, but it's got decent traffic. If I'm dying on the trail it's probably gonna be falling off something dumb and landing 8 feet down on my neck. I may be kinda clumsy dumb, but I'm not stupid and still have all my fingers and toes, so I guess I'm doing something right. Or luck.
