One of my best gaming moments was from Tribes: Ascend (RIP) when I had one of those rounds where it was as though it was impossible to miss and I doubled the score of someone who played the game professionally and another really good gaming moment was when I beat the mothership on FTL without taking even a single point of damage (I was playing on Normal) what are some of your finest gaming moments Imp zone?

Nobody believes me when I said I beat Battletoads when I was like eleven, so w/e. My favourite moment was playing Unreal Tournament 3 ages ago on my 360, split-screen with my friend against bots. I was driving one of those car things you can launch forward to self-destruct. I got a road kill with it, immediately shot out of it sending it into two other guys, and glitched in some way that sent me flying way higher into the air than usual. On my way down I scored two more kills with the Flack Cannon. It was beautiful and my friend high-fived me so vigorously that he fell out of his chair. I've had other good moments but I can't say I remember them off the top of my head.

'beating' Elite II on the Amiga at about 9 years old. Selling slaves and narcotics to get my end game ships was the way to go in my pre teen years. Winning my local quake 3 arena tournement at 14 when I beat (and mocked) a former Quake 1 deathmatcher who thought he was the poo poo and literally had two women fawning over him while he played. Going to just not mention my mmo-related ones because gently caress mmos

in vanilla WoW i led dozens of volunteers in PvP field battles against comparable numbers in the Hillsbrad Foothills, and sometimes the Barrens. as a lvl 45ish warrior i was useless in combat so i stayed behind the melee line directing squads and marking targets for our ranged players. i played alliance. one time, when my group managed to beat the horde in Hillsbrad conclusively enough that they stopped respawning against us, i led them into Lordaeron to occupy the throne room on Undercity's surface level. those battles were the most fun i ever had in a video game, on or offline.

The first time I soloed Ornstein and Smough without magic in Dark Souls felt pretty amazing. I've also completed Sin and Punishment 2 for the Wii on hard mode in one sitting, which is the only occasion I can recall breaking a sweat over a video game, it's that difficult.

I was a big bullshitter playing games with friends back in school, especially with fighting games. I remember during the pre-internet era mucking around with SNES Mortal Kombat and bragging about being able to know/do a thing. Serendipitously, I accidentally summoned the Reptile fight when none of us, especially me, knew about it, to the shock and awe of my nerd-friends. I didn't even fight him, casually passing the controller to a random and was all, "Here you go scrub, give it a shot." I felt like a million geekbucks.
