In non-idiot news, Steamworld Dig sequel? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRPQahcRigg Nope, but they are having fun trying something new: quote:So what’s SteamWorld Heist about? In short: space adventures and survival. You’re the captain of a team of ragtag robots who explore and scavenge the remains of a destroyed world. You board enemy ships and command your crew in a unique variety of turn-based combat. I was in shock the first time I heard about it!

It was one of those games that was just really easy to pick and up and play and had a good sense of pacing when it came to getting power-ups or upgrades, especially for a relatively short game. I'd look forward to a straightforward turn-based title with nice visuals. Sometimes I don't want to think too hard when moving my dudes around on grids. It got lost in the deluge of lovely posts, but what is the Bluetooth dongle of choice for the DS4? I bought a generic one for and it really isn't working with anything I'm throwing at it.

My favorite game nudity is probably the big ol' tits right in the first 1 second of The Saboteur. As far as I know, not a single news outlet whined about it. Meanwhile, Mass Effect gets slammed without having any actual nudity in it at all. I also thought it was strange that the GTA "hot coffee" incident was so widely publicized, when you can just pop in the game God of War and have a literal QTE where you aggressively gently caress some chick as many times as you want.

Hey rear end in a top hat it's not actually that simple. Unfortunately if you want wireless you're going to lose Xinput functionality which is why I've never given it a shot. From what I've heard the wired drivers work pretty well though. Also going to put in a plug (heh) for XBStart. If you're using Windows 8 for a living room PC it's pretty nifty.

Yeah it's almost like the media coverage has nothing at all to do with the actual games, and everything to do with social movements that are totally outside the industry seeking to force their views on others. In related news Humble Bundle gave me a Steam Code for Receiver, only to show me a video of anthro rabbits spearfighting. I... I'm scared.

The best way to play video games is to not give a poo poo about (or better yet, never read) gaming journalism. I love following PR disasters, but general game news? Nope. I pick up on enough new releases from this thread. Don your favorite fedora, grow your patchy neck pubes out, slam some Surge, and play your video games in solitude. You'll probably be a lot happier.

The best thing that came from GamerGate was seeing all those sites do articles about how gamers are dead and not worth listening to, on the same day and in some cases within the same hour. After all those times they claimed the moral high ground over gamers seeing them lash out like that was something to see.

The Mass Effect/Hot Coffee controversy was iirc mostly driven by conservative media outlets and the angle was more "oh my god look what your kids are playing", which is pretty far from the "maybe we should take a look at how women are presented in today's games" that's going on now.

Clive Barker's Jericho has perhaps the worst ending I've ever seen in a video game. Not that you can still get it on Steam, but if you have it don't bother. Or just stop after the Sumerian part and make up your own ending.

Hot Coffee was funny because the game in question was Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, in which you're forced to brutally murder large amounts of people in a variety of ways. Chainsawing people and drowning them in cement is harmless entertainment, sex is an atrocity that we must get outraged about. Personally I think video games as a whole would be greatly improved if every character was completely naked at all times.

Yeah, the key thing is that women should start being portrayed as human beings more often in games. That's it, it's not complicated. Some games can show off the titties, some games can have women doing awesome poo poo in conservative clothing. Hell, maybe other games can have hunky man-twinks in revealing clothing doing acrobatic poo poo while they fire their phallic guns at waves of enemies. You know, something for everyone! FadedReality posted:e: Also everyone buy Postal 2 because you can throw diseased cow heads around and make people puke blood until they die ...and this.
