Remember a few days ago when the league claimed the pink out was going to be lessened this year as part a of a planned thing to focus on the military instead?

Yeah, Jason La Canfora just annihilated that in pregame. Turns out a bunch of companies were going to have a massive pink push with players on all 32 teams that was scrapped after Adrian Peterson's stuff came out.

The only thing that does give me pause for thought with McKenzie is how incredible the 2014 draft class looks (like, there could easily be five NFL starters out of there). 2012 was bad although to be fair the team had no pick before the 3rd round (though he did then waste said pick anyway), 2013 could change a lot but right now three of the top four picks either already busted (Tyler loving Wilson) or are looking ominous (D.J. Hayden, Menelik Watson), and that's inexcusable at the start of a rebuild.

Their third round pick in '12 was a compensatory pick though so knocking him for "wasting" the 97th overall pick is a little tit for tat. Hayden is starting to look like a bust but he's only played in what 6 or so games? I thought he showed some promise when he came back last year but yeah if he can't get back on the field in 2014 then that 2013 draft class looks like a complete dud. I'm more concerned with the corners he brings in every year to the same results.

Jacksonville's growth in a decade is only 12% more than Seattle had in the last year.

At this point its becoming some sort of dark comedy. Their incompetence over the past two weeks has been stunning and scary to behold. I didn't think Goodell's job was ever really in danger, but I am starting to think that if two or three more things pile on within the month it really could be curtains for him.

Yeah, even ignoring everything else, the NFL's management has looked incredibly incompetent and reactionary in all of this. Their security department has to either be incompetent or incredibly pissed as well considering how much they've been thrown under the bus in this.

Tony Bergstrom has started one NFL game and was on the roster bubble this year. I know it was at the rear-end of the round and I know those guys don't make that much of an impact usually but that's still a bad pick. I really don't feel good about Hayden honestly, we've been promised constantly he'll be back soon and he just keeps hurting himself again. In fairness Rogers and Brown look alright although Chimdi loving Chekwa as a starter is one of those situations you don't want ever.

The Vikings cut Jerome Simpson after his most recent citations. Not surprising, he was on short lease as it was and then with the recent scrutiny, no way they would have brought him back. Oh well.

I'm curious, though, since he was cut before his 3rd suspended game, does he need to still serve the game if he signs elsewhere?

I'd think yes, it's a league suspension and not a team one (unless I'm missing where the Vikings specifically suspended him).
