The Atlus portion of TGS was about a remake of Etrian Odyssey 2, a new Dancing All Night trailer, and a release date for Devil Survivor 2 Break Record. No new P5 info, they just showed the old one again.

P5 is going to sell like hotcakes no matter what. So ATLUS is probably having riot of a time revealing nothing and watching the fans squirm. Plus, they save a ton on advertising.

Yeah I think they aren't really advertising P5 at least partially because as the new mainline Persona game it (on a much smaller scale) is like Madden or Pokemon. 95% of the people who buy it are going to buy it on the strength of "it's the new Persona" no questions asked. Dance all Night or a Devil Survivor remake need more of a sell job.

Yeah, GTA is the only series I can think of that doesn't show much of anything about the actual game before it's released. Considering how long it took them to show us that trailer, I imagine they've had a hard time deciding on how the game is going to be, anyway.

I bought Final Fantasy Curtain Call recently and I am totally convinced at the idea of rhythm game based on RPG music. It's actually a very good game even ignoring the song selection - the progression is done well, the out of "battle" RPG elements add a lot of variety and a way to actually progress towards goals instead of just select songs at random from a list, and the Online is pretty fun and doubles as a quick way to get new quests. I am actually kind of cautiously optimistic that Dancing All Night is gonna be good, in a way that isn't just ironic.

I'm really just expecting a Project Diva with a Persona skin in terms of gameplay, presentation, and progression when it comes to Dancing All Night. This is not a bad thing by any means, but we'll have to see what it's actually going to be like when they release an actual gameplay trailer for it. That said, I will honestly be pretty disappointed if there aren't a lot of fun dress-up options in it like in the Project Diva games.

I don't know what y'all mean by "they aren't advertising P5" because they literally broadcast a thirty minute long commercial for it on giant tv screens across Tokyo last November and had Sony run the first real trailer for it during that press conference a few weeks ago.

I just recently picked up DS2 because I figured Break Record was vaporware. WELP. I do like the new Dangan-Ronpa-esque art style they're going for though. Hopefully they altered the portraits to match. I also like how their solution to fixing Io's absurd anti-grav-boobs is to dress her in a giant red hoodie. If they make Hinako's design less awful as well, I'm sold.

Her original official art had that hoodie, she just never wore it ingame. Do we even know if these trailers are anything other than that? I didn't think they'd change the actual style of the game to match.

I hope they changed it, because I really, really enjoyed DS2 but boy howdy did that art style and those designs do their damndest stop me. I liked the cast in general quite a bit but holy poo poo every female character not named Makoto looked like they were designed by Dark_Tzitzimine.

Even though I've never played a Devil Survivor game, I like the art because everytime I look at DeSu screenshots I see something else wrong with the character designs. It's like Where's Waldo, only for anatomically impossible characters.
