Chris-chan just doesn't understand half the words he types because his socialization for the past like 9 loving years has been the cadre of people obsessed with him online. One of them convinced him that he could get a girlfriend if he wore dresses or something like that, claiming it's what all the alpha males do, a few years ago. It's all super sad and weird.

Now imagine that person has had like dozens of only slightly less demented people actively trolling them and following their every move online for seriously almost a decade now, and they have a whole wiki about the person. That's what's going on.

The funny thing is that public radio stations did use to send out radios that were only tuned to the station to listeners as donation incentives (presumably with the idea that since you love Genericville Public Radio 89.5 so much as to give them $1000 a year you'd like to stick another radio for them out on the deck along with your tote bag and umbrella). But paying for it yourself directly from some other dudes kinda misses the whole "actually supporting the public station" point.

pathetic little tramp posted:So it's worse than a crystal radio set. No it isn't. It actually handles FM stereo and poo poo. It's overpriced and doesn't really do what they claim (the only tunes to one station thing, they can all be tuned by moving a potentiometer on the circuit board) but it would sound great and have very good reception unlike a crystal radio. Incidentally, a build-your-own-FM-radio kit for kids of comparable quality typically would cost $20 - $25 including all parts and instructions, albeit taking up more space since it's not designed to fit in a twee little jar.
