So unless I'm mistaken, there's no way to use a keypad to navigate phone menus when using call handoff with 10.10 and iOS8. I have to hand the call back to my phone to enter my selection, and then there's no way I can find to move the call back to the mac  Am I missing something obvious?

Yo, I need help. I went to a nonspecific porn site today, and it doesn't work anymore, all that pops up is "Protocol Error (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:100)". Is there any way to fix it without deleting all my Safari preferences?

(My iPhoto library is about the same size) Last I checked, it's 10$/month for 1 TB, which means that my wife and I would be paying 240$ dollars a year to store our photos with them (we have separate Dropbox accounts, and Dropbox is really annoying in how it counts Shared folders against both parties). I think at the moment we'll keep trucking until the new Apple photo stuff hits, and then we'll re-evaluate. Well, that and enter the weekly drawing for a Transporter.

Why wouldn't you just share one account? And if you pay up front it's $100/year Flickr gives you 1tb free, but I don't think they have a comparably easy method of syncing content.

Not sure exactly what your setup is, but why not just set up a local NAS and store all your photos centrally? You really just need a good router with a USB port and a decent external hard drive, both of which can be purchased pretty cheaply. And if you want remote backup of the photos you can use something like Crashplan, which, for $5/mo, gives you unlimited backups.

I have two hesitations with SMB: 1) it always feels very flaky to me, 2) "delete" does an actual delete instead of sending to the trash can, and I don't know if I trust myself or her with not having that layer of safety. We don't live on the edge. Another scratch against SMB (but not enough to really kill it as an idea) is that we wouldn't be able to really do stuff with a laptop/iPad away from home.

Is there a way to command-tab the same way you alt-tab in windows, where "landing" on a program opens it up and brings it to focus? I know you can hold down option to bring something out of minimization, but it doesn't always work if there's two windows for one program open. If there isn't a way to do this natively, is there a program I can use that achieves the same results as Windows? Navigating between windows and programs with just the keyboard is a rather large hassle.

You'd need to bind a keyboard shortcut or mouse button but I'm pretty sure Exposé has a way to bring all windows in an application to the front. Mission Control pref pane > Application Windows. Also, cmd+1 will generally create/open the "main" window of an app that is newly focused. I say generally, because even some of Apple's own apps don't follow this convention. Looking at you, iTunes... But you can always change the shortcuts if you would like in keyboard settings.

What should it do, then? It's not like web browsers really have a database to fall back on as a main window the way an email program does. Plus, it's nice to open a bookmark without leaving the keyboard.

I've had 15" rmbp's since the first one was released and I never noticed UI lag or crappy looking websites. Firefox itself looked terrible but I don't recall websites looking bad.
