I don't consider myself part of the tasteratti and my work mostly sucks, but I think I can help answer this question with what is kinda a good and kinda a bad landscape with a photo I took Thursday and Friday. One of these photos is currently my laptop background, because it's a pretty picture and reminds me of a cool hike . The other was part of quick photo story for a shootoff that got a couple of props and then an out from Eli Reed. bad less bad The Monk fucked around with this message at 05:27 on Sep 28, 2014 |

The second one is just raw with me draggin the level slider to compensate for underexposure. The aspens are nuts. But yea the point is one kinda says something, the other says mountains?. Getting away from dumb art chat. Here are lovely jpeg versions of the raws, did I murder them with the ghost of Kinkade? The Monk fucked around with this message at 05:57 on Sep 28, 2014 |

I'm not sure how you could have avoided it in this particular shot though.

Where abouts do you live, Dread Head? I see you posting cool stuff from beaches, glaciers, mountains, forests. Do you just travel a lot for your shots or do you live somewhere really varied and spectacular?

I live on Vancouver Island, I think all (or most) of the photos I have posted this summer have been from there. I travel around the island somewhat, it has a huge variety of scenery specially if you are willing to do some hiking etc.

My guess is that runway runs perpendicular to the one he's actually landing on, so you can just poke the camera out the side window to grab a shot like that.

The cockpit was actually too cramped to get many good views out, and there was a lot of distortion from the plexiglass bubble cockpit. I need to get up in a hot air balloon, I think somebody in this thread posted some balloon shots a while ago that looked great. Bubbacub fucked around with this message at 17:20 on Sep 29, 2014 |
