Has anyone looked into cyanogen or Dicyanoacetylene and their ilk for liquid rocketry? I know N2 is heavy, but organic nitrogen has got a lot of joules packed pretty tightly. When you can more than double your thermal energy Why not combust them in a tri-propellant rocket that's regeneratively cooled by LH2? You get way higher temperatures, and your energy densities and specific impulse should be much higher, right? Mega loving baked right now but would you mind sanity checking me here? (I'm insane.)

So while you're liberating a lot more chemical energy you're extracting it less efficiently mechanically.

That's why the next step is NTR's right? Well nobody wants a loving nuclear reactor making GBS threads hydrogen in our atmosphere for space flight (I do actually, but I'm very much a minority) and nobody's got an appetite for fluoridating this poo poo (well, again) in the atmosphere it seems to me that your tungsten boiling Dicyanoacetylene -> O2 fires combustion chamber could be best cooled by say, LH2- and after its gasified regeneratively cooling your rocket it seems to me it'd have a poo poo ton of thermal energy it could toss out your bell end, and my gut tells me that every h2 molecule added to the exhaust will only increase its ISP- which is sure to be substantial since it's a tri-propellant rocket.

All you'd get is some n2 gas, some water vapor, some CO2 and a few odds ends and radicals but nothing exotic or lethal or radioactive like Uranium, or Fluorine compounds.

Why don't we do that poo poo? It's because it's a stupid idea isn't it? Probably.

But I think it'd be pretty dang neat.

So.. Is this a stupid idea? It is.

But it was fun. It'd be fun to know why it was stupid I guess but then again all I wanna do is play with Algernon here.

I drove a 26 foot Uhaul through 6 hours of thunderstorms AND SAW A loving TORNADO, all while loving smoking the nastiest niggerettes (camel crush menthol clickers, resin, kief, and the stuff that came up when I swept the pot table off before I packed the house.) while slamming handfuls of klonopin and Modafinil with weird Asian energy drinks and caffeine gum.

This was my last ever cross country move. I now live in Memphis forever. This is also the first place I've ever lived that a parent, the government, or my wife made did not make me live.

My cross country drive from 29 Palms to freedom was amazing. I'm in the same situation now, except Philadelphia, and minus the resin and klonopin. Also, some genius has found a way to combine in one piece of clothing everything I loved about yoga pants and booty shorts. This is a new trend among the 19-22 year old female population of Penn. They basically walk around in what used to be a category of panties called 'boy shorts.' Amazing. I can't even think of anything I would complain about in my life if I tried. Maybe I should have faked a few injuries to scam some VA percentage, but meh, I'm good enough. I'm probably taking more money from the Navy for medical school next year and going back in for a few anyways, which I couldn't do if I had documented a sleep apnea or something egregious.
