I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the "15% more Milhouse" is just that little corner picture of him on the cover.

That's because so many modern covers are over-photoshopped brown messes.

It takes a long time for a cover to solidify as iconic.

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.
I bet that Superman and Wonder Woman kissing one will make it up there.

I doesn't matter what I think, iconic means that everyone more or less agrees that a cover has a timeless quality or appeal to it. I mean, I really like the X-Men: Legacy covers Del Mundo did, but I don't think they'll ever reach iconic status.

I always thought this was a pretty good one.

The problem, I think, is that so many comics are "iconic" now that none of them are. The ones that actually get people talking tend to be minimalist, like Aja's on Hawkeye or any given issue of Sex Criminals.

I suppose some of X-Men: Legacy's could work.

I don't think that Marvel has a "house style", but they've been running with a lot of what I'd call "clean" artists. Dudes like Aja, Samnee, McKelvie, even Allred, that use really clean lines and sparse, but more numerous panels. It's a style I really like.

I don't know if it's in this thread, but the funniest panel I ever saw around here was from a Daredevil comic where Matt Murdock is paranoid about a villain called Ikari and needs to conduct a job interview. And the thing at the end and his reaction to it cracked me up so hard.

And did the full pages of Superman verbally destroying the Joker ever get posted? Where he's like "Oh I disarmed all your bombs already."

Anyway, content:
