Reach for the moon!
Yo Nashandra's fight would've actually been pretty good if curse actually did something other than bring you to the next layer of hollow-ness. Like as is, it drains your health too, but only extremely negligibly. As it is now, there's no pressure on the player to fight quickly because by that point they're probably stuffed with lifegems and have 12 estus chugs or whatever so the curse health drain doesn't even matter and they can fight at their leisure.

The first DLC fixes the Nashandra fight to the point where it's actually difficult (and then makes it unnecessarily MORE difficult by letting her spawn in other enemies).

You need to watch their playthrough of Silent Hill Downpour. If for nothing else than so you'll know the origins of the axe throw that this motherfucker here will never live down to his dying day. In 2099 Billionaire Liam, Pat's head in a jar and an amorphous blob of dreads that once was Woolie before 'the war' will bury Matt and his tombstone will read "RT IS THROW!"

Also this. There is no bad Super Best Friends Brawl video, they're all good and just lined with salt.

ALSO question for Matt. Did Friday Night Fisticuffs take over for the Super Best Friends Brawl or will there be more? I'm good either way cause I really really like Fisticuffs videos.

What? It's incredibly easy. Stand outside her scythe range because literally the only thing she can do is use her laser at that point, run sideways and forward, hit her a billion times because she takes forever to fire and recover, repeat.

The giant dog boss thingie is infinitely harder and Woolie managed that solo so I'm giving him the tired excuse.

Oh, to clarify, it is not hard; it's a simple, boring as dirt fight, but what I meant was if you gently caress up you generally die from a single mistake. I meant worse as in, bad design, not as in, a difficulty beyond hard. It's very anti-fun as an encounter, so I don't blame Woolie and Pat for just dunking on it after finding even a small wall.

Fisticuffs has not replaced Brawl. We have some ideas and a rough video of a Brawl in the works, but we're so bogged down with other stuff, the timing is always tricky.

Liam had ME watch Seha Girls last night, and it was pretty cute!

Also, just finished the Bayonetta demo. I'm socked that it's the most impressive thing graphically I've played in years. Makes the games that run on Pat's PC rig look like loving Calecovision.

I actually played bayonetta 2 Demo yesterday, I was not into the first game when it came out, but when I played the demo yesterday I was so blown away by how loving cool as poo poo this game was, I played every killer app for the WiiU but it was this game that set off the "holy poo poo this is the funnest raddest thing ever to play and look at" reaction , in still shaking with how much I want to keep playing that game.

Seriously this game is the killer app, too bad it's gonna die in sales.

Are you planning on doing a playthrough of the game like you did with MGR? Or better yet, are you going to do Bayo 1 and 2 back to back since they're both being released together on the Wii U?

CERTIFIED FRESH AS HELL DOC MAKER

Yo Matt, you guys should watch the anime Parasyte (Kiseijuu in Japanese) this season, it's basically about a dude who has a version of John Carpenter's The Thing replace his arm.

It's based off of a manga people say is really good. It's also Halloween appropriate I guess, it does have some body horror.

Try reading some manga!

Clever Betty
Yeah I was gonna recommend that. The manga ran from 1988-1995 and is really good for most of its run. Not perfect but damned good and the parasites are interesting characters.

I made a recommendation for it over in my good manga recommendation thread here

Parasyte(8 volumes available at Amazon) - Action, Drama, Horror, Manga, Psychological, School Life, Sci-fi

Parasyte is a gruesomely violent horror/drama from the mid-90's about parasitic creatures who appear one day and infest many humans by burrowing into their ear canal and entering their brain. From there they replace the head of their victim and proceed to devour humans as they learn about earth and society. While very intelligent and immensely powerful, they have no emotions and exist solely to keep themselves alive at the expense of all others. The story follows Shinichi Izumi, whose right arm was infested by a parasite that failed to enter his brain. As time goes on, he learns to get along with the parasite and begins investigating the hundreds of horrifically grotesque murders happening all over the place as the other parasites begin feeding and learning how to hunt humans without being caught. This series is a really interesting read, with many strong characters and extremely tense moments. The parasites themselves are terrifying nightmare creatures, looking normal one moment and turning into a variety of biological weaponry the next. It's not a super long series at only 8 volumes, and it's pretty strong throughout. The struggles of Izumi and Migi(his parasite) are very well portrayed, as is the way Izumi changes over the course of the series.

You can read it at Kissmanga since I don't recommend things to folks blindly, but if you read the first few chapters and enjoy it, please buy the actual books, they're pretty cheap on Amazon though some seem to be out of stock and have absurd prices from secondary sellers.

Here's the anime version of the famous above page:

No worries at all. I mean you're having to deal with two loving layabouts going and loving off to glorious nippon anyway so I figured you were backed up. Good to know Brawl will be around eventually.

Thats a lot of poo poo all at once. That being said it'd be pretty loving cool guy to see. That ALSO being said with how everyone jumped on Dark Souls can you imagine how it'd go with Bayo? MGR didn't have that kinda shitstorm around it though so it'd probably be ok. Oooooh, maybe something like they did for Wonderful 101.

I can't imagine them forcing themselves not to play Bayo 2 on their own time, so you'd get the MGR problem again unless they went super crazy and marathoned the entire thing in one sitting.

Well Matt has said that cheating on MGR was bad (although they fooled me as someone who was mostly just paying attention to the cutscenes) so if they play Bayo at all we might be safe.
