yeah I feel quite proficient in both of them. I have a real "knack" for understanding user interfaces but I lack the simple musical taste aspect to make anything good, nor the patience

echinopsis posted:sham bam I need 2 thank u u change VERYTHING f i just downloaded the new demo (i wanted to try the game out earlier but mega kept stalling) and it looks nice but runs at <5 fps on my computer. i'd imagine that it's the fancy shaders because it's not a very high-poly game, maybe if there was an option to turn off effects like the film grain or whatever it is i'd have an easier time running it. can't comment on the controls because the framerate makes the necessary finesse impossible but as it is i somehow managed to get all the way around to the other platform. music chat: the hawkwind techno album from 1995 has the absolute worst mixing of any major studio release that i've ever heard. it sounds like it's being played in a well a mile away. wow really. poo poo. I think it might be the real time global illumination [which does gently caress all given my level design] coz my shaders aren't complicated and there aren't even any textures AT ALL . wellp I really appreciate your time, thanks

richard thompson?! now i need to go post every song i can find from "mock tudor" like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tze2klRR5dA also all the richard-and-linda stuff, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcFhyy2kgdo i felt rem's version just didn't come across right, but maybe that's because i love the original so much: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXyRCdNZoOA how weird this seems to me, though: The Thompsons had adopted the Sufi faith in 1974 and had moved into a commune in London. The songs on this album reflect their new faith and the relief that Richard Thompson had found in that faith. It seems that various and conflicting pressures were bearing down on the duo at the time.
And there was a recording contract. The Thompsons owed Island Records an album. The compromise seems to have been that the album to be delivered was to have a strong spiritual aspect. Linda Thompson: 'Pour Down Like Silver was when Sheikh Abdul Q'adir said we could make music as long as it was to God... Dimming of the Day, Beat the Retreat, Night Comes In, they're all about God, and considering they're all about God some of them aren't bad.'
