Strong man may possibly be the biggest rear end in a top hat on this show to date. And they once had a mass murderer with an excessively long and graphic school shooting scene.

Illuen posted:Was that Dandy in his own Twisty costume? Luckily Dandy is yet another perfect name for a terrifying clown. Poor Meep. Back to why it's in Jupiter, it's gotta be going for a new spin on the Gibsonton thing. There was an X-Files episode("Humbug," it's a classic) set in Gibsonton about a sideshow troupe that this season is strongly reminding me of. I feel like they went with Jupiter to be just different enough, but still in the same state. I'm actually pretty sure Ryan Murphy used it as a way to bring in the B-Plot of the season: lost aliens from the planet Jupiter end up at Elsa's Freak Show by mistake. Hilarity/murder ensues. I just really want a Red Scare/Cold War/Roswell season ok.

First a bearded lady, then a hermaphrodite ... seems Chiklis has some preferences. Who wants 10-1 that he'll try to tongue wrestle Jimmy by season's end?

Ok, now that episode was excellent. Chiklis is doing the best he can with the script, and is acting circles around everyone but Bates, Bassett, and of course Lange. Even if Lange does chew the scenery a bit. I'm officially in for the long haul. I've got to be the only one with a giant grin in my face every time Twisty is on screen. I absolutely love clowns, and the guy is hilarious to me. He is legitimately trying to entertain people, and even he couldn't stomach Dandy. But his character isn't a mindless caricature brutally murdering everyone he sees, which adds a ton to the tension of every scene he's in. He's actually left more people alone than murdered people he's come into contact with.

SHUPS 4 DETH posted:DINGDINGDINGDI Ryan Murphy if you want to PM me so we can chat about potential future clown design, feel free. I think the best part of the Strongman/Jimmy dynamic is that it gives Jimmy something to do besides beat the "We're people just like everyone else" drum since so far that's been way overdone. I hope the clown van duo stick around for a while, the scenes in there have been great.

Honestly seeing Bette lose her confidence onstage was just heartbreaking. She was so happy and sunny about joining the freakshow, and playing second fiddle to Dot must've been really disheartening. I know it probably won't happen because it's AHS, but I really do hope that Bette finds her talent and doesn't withdraw into a shell of regret and bitterness.
