People kept jumping onto cars then suing the driver for hitting them so people started putting dash cams up. The glorious side effect was that now we have literally everything happening on the roads in Russia being recorded which has led to some insane gifs. It isn't that roads in Russia are significantly more insane than everywhere else, they just have cameras on them all the time so all the crazy poo poo is guaranteed to be recorded.

That's not exactly true, Russian roads are legitimately some of the most dangerous ones in the world. While obviously it's not "people jump on windshields all day" -levels of crazy, there's a great deal of terrible roads, dangerous cars and reckless drivers in that country because traffic laws aren't really respected or enforced to the same degree as in most other modern nations.
