So this is a pretty good story. Two weeks ago MLS referee JC Rivero was arrested for unemployment fraud. Since that arrest, he has had a whistle and a fourth official assignment. Earlier today in the referee forum I frequent someone apparently noticed this arrest and posted about it. Caused a little bit of discussion. Hours later, the NYT has gotten wind of it and PRO pretends they knew about it the whole time and suspended Rivero. On the one hand, I understand that as basically part time employees who don't show up to a central building every day to do an 8-to-5 that it's not totally crazy that PRO didn't know about the arrest. On the other hand, lol some random dude on the internet brought him down.

PRO was probably waiting on "innocent until proven guilty" (until this arrest came to light) but it's possible that he didn't even tell PRO.

I made it late to the Sounders match, so I nabbed the first ADA seat I could find - right in front of the LA Galaxy supporters. No matter what happens, my section of the stadium will be partying like gently caress at the end of this match. BB, if you're here, I'm the gimp in the hot pink Docs.

Got back from the game, that was glorious, especially the final goal by Pappa. So glad I made it up from Portland to Seattle win the S.S after seeing them crash and burn last year.

Sorry Qu, I was at home putting a door in the back of my garage. I saw the line-up and when Keane didn't even travel, I just put the game on the garage tv and used it as background noise. There was no way we were winning without Keane there and I have a feeling Bruce didn't give enough of a poo poo about the Shield and wanted Robbie ready for the play-offs. But gently caress man, Leonardo didn't play bad. It was strange.

I thought the Supporter's Shield was designed by one of the TA merch crew guys a couple of years ago when the ISC was founded? Congrats to Higuain Chipshots for winning our shitball league. I don't foresee myself overcoming a 5 point deficit when my best chances for points tomorrow are on his roster too.
