During the halftime ceremony where his number was retired in Philadelphia, he was introduced by the interviewer as someone who made his mark on the NBA and his response was to say "that's because my rear end is so big".

Barkley will say things that piss off both parties, but at least you never have to wonder if he really believes what he says, or just saying it because its expected.

Barkley 2016. For whatever drat party he wants.

If his first executive order isn't that he gets a weekly fireside chat with Kenny Smith about the NBA, and that TNT isn't allowed to stop them, then he doesn't deserve the office. But he does and totally would.

Hilary winning is like the best possible thing that could happen for this thread. Hope that's some consolation.

Seriously. Hillary wins and not only is the right going apeshit on women, we get to hear about "purity tests" and how the left is never satisfied and blah blah loving blah because the overton window has shifted so everyone left of Reagan is a pinko commie. I see the most boring derail in our future.

Four Roses is a decent bourbon for election day ennui. It's sweet, with a subtle burn in the back of the throat. Mixes great with diet coke, but you'll want to drink it neat.

The stupid thing is that if the right actually paid attention to what Reagan did they'd consider him a RINO commie too.

Turkey is ok, but if you see old 1889 grab a bottle. It is a decent whiskey that never adjusted its price for inflation or something. Its an amazing value. There's a bar around here that serves it as their well, and it beats the poo poo out of evan williams and all the other nasty wells. Turkey would be a good well too, but I haven't seen it.

At least if Jeb wins they'll be continuing their streak of only being able to win the White House with a Bush or a Nixon on the ticket. That's kind of amusing.

Still hoping they make it an entire century.

Somebody posted about this in the politoons thread, but its also been talked about in other right wing media.

The numbers they're citing don't add up in any way, and it seems like the hack journalist just skimmed the report for scary-sounding context-free numbers. It's gonna be funny when the final article comes out, and it draws the exact opposite conclusions than right-wing freemongering.

It's gonna be really unsatisfying, though, because the actual report won't generate headlines like this fearmongering WaPo article did. Conservatives will have moved on by then, but they'll bring it up casually the same way they bring up ACORN, Robert Byrd being a former Klan member, and Chappaquiddick.
