If the Winter/Halloween sale spits out The Pre-Sequel AND the Season Pass for $20 each with Jack/Aurelia at $6-$8 apiece, THEN I'll pick it up no questions.

This game's decent and has a few things that I greatly prefer over Borderlands 2 (grinder, Oz kit maneuverability, cryo instead of slag, good vending machines that scale to your level, and just the right amount of skill points), but overall I think BL2 was a significantly better game. I wasn't really sure at first, but I went back and played through 2 a few days ago and it solidified my opinion. Especially with the DLC, which adds so much more content.

I've been using the cheat engine tables provided earlier to try and get more (any) oranges to drop, and to test it out I tried setting it to only legendaries, but so far I've just found a whole lot of greens everywhere and a few whites. I tried the free Moxxi drinks settings to check if it was working at all, and that worked fine, so is there some reason why the item rarity values wouldn't work?

It's just not as good, writings not as good and it's polished way less. This is a fun game no doubt, but it's riding on the coat tails of BL2.

Spinigun + Showdown = So many bullets. And I've been able to use old guns for a while, easily 5+ levels, with no problem.

I think what might be happening is that the game is just unable to produce legendaries under a certain level (10, I think I've heard?) and if you try to force one before that you'll either get unpredictable results or just a straight-up lock up.

While, Base BL2 is a stronger game I do like the quality of life improvements in the presequel. The extra movement options are awesome. Cryo is a much better element than slag. I love the higher drop rates and the grinder is great in theory. The modified skill trees and leveling makes it easier to spec out your character. Sane weapon scaling. But there's a lot that is done poorly. The legendary's and uniques were done incredibly lazily. The grand majority are returning from BL2 with some just getting a name change and an element swap. Most also don't even seem to have a designated world drop so it's best to just farm thingies and feed the grinder. A lot of Bosses don't respawn. The raidboss is the final boss with more health. I thought it was super lazy when they did it with Pyro Pete in the Torgue DLC. At least pyro pete gained a caustic immunity as a raid boss. Too many quests require tons of backtracking. Moonstone chests are cool, but why can they old yield purples? Why would I pay 40 moonstone for random purps when you hand out shift codes like candy? Pickle make's Tina seem like the most poignant and endearing character ever. Playing BL:TPS made me want to play more BL2. BL2's endgame at level 50 was great. Unfortunately, UVHM exists and even more horrible are the OP levels.

I'd love to take the BLPS mechanics (and classes) into the BL2 game. Scaling, vending machines, grinder, mobility, buttslam, weapons... Import the BL1 classes too while you're at it. Let Lilith clean up her own firehawk mess.

I still like this raid boss more than loving Terramorphous. Oh no, a slightly bigger pyro thresher. The BLTPS classes seem better designed, for the most part, than their counterparts. pun pundit posted:I'd love to take the BLPS mechanics (and classes) into the BL2 game. Terra at least required some strategy and was actually kind of tough and very likely to cause a party to wipe. He also had a unique model, and was actually quite difficult (and still is in OP8). If they really wanted a hard boss they should have made deadlift the invincible. That fucker might be the hardest boss in the game, because of his constant movement. Give him a shock immunity and a huge shield and even OP as all hell Nisha would have a hard time killing him. Yes only two masher in the game are the maggie and smasher. The smasher can be gotten at any level just by starting a new game but before you actually choose your class, cancel it and pick your existing save file. The smasher is pretty great, but the maggie is better.

It's something that's been asked for since 2 first came out, and as a plus for Gearbox doesn't require any more design work on their part. Have a party of Brick, Krieg, and Athena and the screaming will never stop. Edit: oh wait that's only 3 people, I guess the next-screamiest class is...Salvador?

Man I can only hope the DLC packs for this game are anywhere near as good as BL2's DLC. That extra content is what really makes BL2 stand out in my opinion. I didn't play BL2 for more than like 2 hours when it first launched, but 9 months later I dumped 400 hours into it.

Exactly the same for me. The problem I've had with Scarlett's DLC is that, of the three times I've gone through it, it hasn't been challenging a single time. The first time was understandable because I wasn't really sure what level would be ideal for it (first time, first DLC)...but even on the subsequent runs, that DLC was really easy. Part of me really wishes I could replace TPS' music with specific BL2 tracks. I've given the game's soundtrack a chance and it's just ambient garbage that hasn't grown on me, mostly.
