That's the same loving car. And now it has a host of problems unlike the original ad. Then there's this one. Last time the dude listed this it made it to $1200. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Celi...=US_Cars_Trucks He also had it on CL for $2900 for 4 months. It's cool, but it looks like it has no a/c which is a no go here, and I don't need the AllTrac either. Would be perfect for some of the northern AI goons tho. I'd fly down for it.

Checked out another Midget today, oddly enough the owner neglected to mention the horrible clicking rattle in first and reverse! Oh, and the spare transmission he mentioned in the ad? Well, that had a hosed up first and second. Craigslist sucks. I'm talking to the guy with the yellow Midget, probably buy that this week.

Condition unknown, but he had like 4 or 5 of them from a package deal some years ago. They're just the 4-speeds, though; most people seem to want the 5-speeds.

You could sell those bumpers on the Festiva forum and have a free car at that price (those bumpers are rare as all gently caress). And then you put Aspire brakes and suspension and a BP in it.

Hrmm, the other buyer fell through on the IS. I'm torn because it's a unicorn and it'd be nice to have a beater for my long commutes and for the wife to learn to drive stick, but an asking price of 7k is pretty steep for that kind of car.

leica posted:Fuckin A lot of people? Weber sells a 44DCOE twin 2bbl setup for them and Mikuni flatslides are also very popular. The stock EFI and tune on them isn't spectacular, and if you don't mind losing some low end, a good set of carbs + new cams can easily net you a significant gain in top end power. I have several issues of the Japanese-language 'Toyota Levin and Trueno' magazine and roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of the cars in any given issue are carbed. Part of the issue is that the factory ECU is unflashable and doesn't really support much beyond the stock tune, and all the easy plug and play aftermarket computers for 4AGs are in the $1200+ range, so for the average guy looking for cheap upgrades, a pair of webers and a set of cams is one of the cheapest ways to get more power. Anything else you might want to do to squeeze more power from an NA 16v 4AG rapidly ends up costing as much as just swapping in a supercharged or 20v 4AG, so you see a lot of carbs and a lot of 20v/SC swaps and not as much as you would expect in between those extremes. Edit: here's a pro D1 driver from Japan showing off his carbed 4AGE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fZotY1zVAc (showing off the FCR carbs @ ~45 seconds in) It's just a thing with old 4AG cars. Seat Safety Switch posted:Who buys crazy pimp rear end 33" tires and never drives on them? Someone who has a blown-rear end suspension and hasn't fixed it yet. Tires will straight up not fit into the wells w/o rolling the fenders and getting enough lift. I have a '70 Econoline, and I had trouble fitting 30x11"s in the rear, (added supersprings in the back and new coils in the front) let alone 33's. E: also, if it's a pathfinder/quadravan/quigley buy that poo poo, that is an amazing deal. EE: oh god, it's a Quigley with mods. BUY. IT. NOW.
