 This ugly, goon-farmed hat is still one of my favorite items just for the memories of getting it to such an absurd high number. Finally got the halloween hammer so I have no reason to go back to Doomsday. Thought it would be a good idea to drop into a Helltower and maybe, just maybe, I'd be able to find the single spell page I had managed to miss last year (Veteris). What ya know, first gift.  Now that my OCD is pleased I can say it was a good event (in moderation), though the last two years were better.

TF2's great you push last into granary, the defending team decides "nah don't feel like losing this round" and goes some godawful abortion of like five heavies, three medics, and three engies, and they take all four points and win ninety seconds after pushing their last because valve's as good at balance as I am at posting

If your entire team went Sniper you could headshot all of them before they could even get close. A Sniper nerf has been a long time coming, frankly .........

At least they actually had the mind to push back and not just camp their last point all day like it usually turns out like. But yeah mass Heavy/Medic on Granary is hard to deal with without a few Demomen, Snipers or Beggar's Bazooka/Buff Banner Soldiers.

If you have 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 spies they can backstab all the heavies and medics and sap all the sentry guns, thereby winning your team the match.

A little confused, Spy already had a class war event, but I honestly can't think of who else you'd pair Engie with. Maybe a Engie/Pyro bro-off, but that wouldn't have the same dynamic. e: Actually, gently caress it that'd be perfect. Set it up so Engineers get a point for every teleported teammate and every 100 health healed at dispensers, while Pyros get points for extinguishing teammates, sappers removed, and outing spies. So, as an experiment, I decided to offer 1 Reclaimed Metal to everyone in the server if we could beat Merasmus. It still took two tries, but enough people actually focused on the boss that it worked! Hooray, finally! I have the metal to spare, so that's no big deal. But GOD drat, it's been way harder to track everyone down than I expected. Two hours later:  (The crossed-out names have received their minor gift, the ones with X's refused the trade, the ones with ='s refused the friend request. If I didn't cross out their avatar, I couldn't even track down their profile yet. Ah well, it's been an interesting experience. One guy gave me a hat because he was so surprised I was following through, another person gave me a spell. One person insisted I was scamming them. The real kicker, though, that frustrates me to no end: Like an idiot, I was so busy taking that screenshot that I didn't make it through the portal, or even get the achievement for killing Merasmus. It sounds like you'd probably be best off going through Captain Invictus. With your unique only-hat-particle-combo situation, there probably isn't a very set in stone price, which I'm pretty sure means haggling. If you wait on selling I'm pretty sure the price is only guaranteed to get lower.

Sniper is balanced by the skill of the players. Most people aren't good enough at it to really be a problem. I think if the top CS players decided to play TF2 they'd have to remove the class.

im a server admin and the other night i discovered the joys of messing with source plugins. a lot of people who were online hadnt gotten some of the halloween achievements so I ran a few contests where i would start off as the HHH or Merasmus and run around the map until I was killed. then whoever killed me got to be either HHH or Merasmus themselves. we kept on going this way, achievements were won and much fun was had! i really recommend it.

I mean, normal workshop submissions that get accepted into the game get you cash, and from what I've heard usually a pretty decent amount. That said, someone should make a hat that's just a couple of bats jiggleboned flying above your head trying to bite you.

Getting these achievements is impossible.
