As of right now, Clay Aiken has the lead on Renee Ellmers. But remember, at one point people thought he would beat Ruben Studdard.

So is Corbett the worst Governor in recent memory? I can't think of anyone who hosed up a state as bad while doing so little and got his rear end so thoroughly kicked in re-election. Maybe Brownback?

axeil posted:The 2000 election being the first one you remember does a lot to convince you voting matters. The 8 years after it certainly did, as will every decision Robers/Alito are responsible for for the foreseeable future. And the 16T in debt, Mideast clusterfuck.. Maybe in the aftermath of this election the Republicans will continue pushing enough poo poo legislation and other things that will at least motivate the regular non-voters enough to not necessarily vote for someone, but definitely vote against Republicans like in 2006/2008. At least the media the youth consume tend not to be quite as insane as on TV, so the fact that we have a Democratic president won't be advertised as "well both sides are at fault". If MI/PA/FL toss their Republican Governors there's at least some hope that people can be motivated by the right sort of shitlords, enough to at least get time to turn the SCOTUS from a reactionary gilded age mess back to something sane.

This motherfucker gut education so bad after pushing ridiculous tax cuts through that a court ruled the education cuts unconstitutional and reversed them. So Brownback not only appealed their decision to the state supreme court, but also rammed a law through that gave him complete control over appointing judges. He can rot in hell.
