Psychoframe's painted. Now I just need to prime and paint the regular plastic (or resin, in the XC's case) and this ridiculous build will finally be over. ...And then I can get to work on the details.

I tried spraying it on top of metallic green to see if that would work better, but nope.

The Hi-Nu uses the exact same stand and is pretty good at holding it up, though if you mean for standing poses you're not going to get any out of it for that purpose. As for putting it all the way in, yeah, you have to make sure its hooked up to the back and the backpack right or you will get frustration of it snapping out. It's just generally worth keeping in mind that when you do pay a mark up for it already being in country even with relatively slow shipping/postage it'll get here a lot quicker than SAL or EMS, the latter because it sits in customs hell for around about two weeks.

Mostly dumb luck on someone listing a kit on ebay. edit: I've not bought an expensive kit since the Sazabi vKa, any big orders of HGs I make I have shipped separately to keep the product value below £15~ to try and stay on the safe side. When determining if you should pay vat it's just the value of the products sans shipping, however if you have to pay vat you pay on the combined value of the products and shipping. Parcelforce 'conveniently' pay this for you and you then have to pay them your customs charge plus a 'handling' fee which is usually around the same amount as the customs charge. There's also duty fees but you need to order something like £200 of stuff in one order for those to apply.

Has the shoulder design changed much from original MG Zeta derivatives to the Zeta 2.0? I may have torqued the rotation joint at the bicep and broken a peg. Possibly because I am bad at this hobby and might have expected that I could put the loving left arm out to help grip the hyper launcher, silly me. I don't expect these things to be action figures but I'd really like them not to disintegrate the first time I look at them. Edit: I ask because I have an old Zetaplus that's served its purpose and has a couple of busted bits, and I could use it for parts if they work. I don't learn lessons well, I guess- this is the third MG Zeta-type I've built and they all seem to end up coming down with some problem. Zedd posted:So what types of paint dont melt gunpla? You're good with pretty much whatever. ABS is pretty susceptible to thinner, so you want to make sure you don't mix in a ton of thinner, or really hot (see: automotive) thinner if you're spraying ABS. It IS possible to paint ABS with lacquer paint, but you need to prime first, and you have to be careful with the mix and make sure to do very thin coats. Once the primer is cured, you don't have to be nearly as careful with the actual paint. If you Regular polystyrene isn't so bad. If wet lacquer thinner sits too long on ABS, it can make it brittle and crumble over time. Which, since you see it most in inner frames, is a bad thing.
