Here's a request which would kick rear end paired with the [/..] Could there be a context paste that auto fills ? Doesn't even need the closing tags, since youtube urls have to be trimmed by hand anyway, but it'd be great. Like, really great. Erm by context I mean right click or whatever. There's a few things we could do there, sure. Pasting a URL into tags should be easy enough too, doing away with the manual trimming.

The app just crashes for seemingly no reason while reading threads, I didn't see anyone talking about this on the first page or couple most recent pages. Is there a fix or am I doomed forever?

Lately I've been getting a thing where I'll open a thread and when Awful has finished loading it'll jump straight to the bottom of the page. What's up with that?

Maybe an indication that there is nothing there worth reading?

Any chance you've been able to take a look at the issue where the touch target for left-to-right swiping to return to bookmarks is ultra-small? Or maybe increasing the angle that's considered a horizontal swipe versus a crooked vertical scroll?

Minor niggle, the numbers for unread posts in un-bookmarked threads are really hard to see in dark mode, the blue ones that is. Not so much in a dark environment but if it's at all bright the blue numbers don't register all that well against the black background. Also I tend to miss them sometimes because my thumb covers them up while I scroll a forum, but that's probably just me.

I noticed on the iPad that in landscape mode you can scroll the posts left and right with the rubber banding. This doesn't happen in portrait mode so I'm curious if it's supposed to happen.

I don't want to outright disable horizontal scrolling, because I'd rather you be able to scroll over if something manages to break my impenetrable line-breaking wall of CSS. So I'll just have to catch it in the act and figure out what's going on. I wish I could turn off the rubber banding just horizontally though, it'd be less annoying when something does break out.

If you tap on a photo to see it full size, and then zoom in, and then try to pan down, this dismisses that screen. Is that intentional?

When I'm at the bottom of a page/end of the thread and pull up to refresh, once it refreshes it's still at the bottom of the page so I have to scroll up through the new posts to find where I left off. It would be great if refreshing the page kept the view at the last post/first new post. Unless I'm doing something dumb here I'm on a 5S on 8.0.2. Reminds me I need to update.

Subjunctive posted:"Flick down to dismiss" is intentional, but it's not tuned quite right it seems. Yeah, I think the usual behavior on iOS is that once you zoom in, gestures just move you around the zoomed in photo. If you zoom back out to 100%, then gestures work normally again.

Nope, don't think you're doing something dumb. When it comes to the reading posts view, odds are it's the stupid one in the relationship.

I would really like to be able to mark threads as unread quickly. Perhaps you could add an option to remove things from the long press menu? I never use copy URL or OP's profile, and removing those two would cut six buttons (requires a side scroll) down to four (doesn't). Or something. You're the genius designer with the good app.

If I'm looking at a single user's posts in a thread, the pages spinner still has all the page numbers of the full thread. Like, the thread has 100 pages and the user has 3 pages of posts, it says "1/3" at the bottom, but then you tap it and the spinner goes to 100. Picking 1, 2, or 3 in this example would work as expected (only that user's posts), but any other page number just comes back blank.

First, let me say thanks for the app, it's pretty awesome. That being said, ever since upgrading to iOS 8.1, the app has been very stuttery on both my iPad Air and iPhone 6. I'll be reading a thread and try to scroll, and it will lag something fierce. Not a major issue, it's just the only app it happens on and it's on both iOS devices I have.
