My friend says she was attacked by a taxi driver last night. She called the police 37 times before they came. When they finally got there, mid beating, they basically told her "Oh, well, he's Chinese." I am taking this with a grain of salt because she's one of those people that manages to create drama everywhere. Also, I won a costume contest last night by dressing as Uncle Ruckus (no relation).

Too heavy and bulky to bring on the subway and illegal to send through the mail. Thats why I have so much, I can only ever bring a couple bottles to Seoul at a time to share with people.

I have another question that I was hoping that someone here might know something about. I was determined to get myself a Olleh Wifi Egg when I arrive in Korea, but now I've been looking into just getting a SIM Card instead. I will have internet in my apartment in Mokpo, and most likely we will have internet on the shipyard as well, so I don't think I need the unlimited data and would rather have a Korean number. Someone told me about EG Sim (http://www.egsimcard.co.kr/), but I am wondering if anyone knows how this work. From what I can see you get your own Korean phone number and it is yours unless you let the subscription lapse. Since I'll be going back and forth to Korea I was wondering if anyone has used it and whether it is "easy" to keep the number since I basically want a Korean number that is "mine" so that my Korean coworkers and other people I meet can reach me on a permanent number and not have get a new number from me every second month.

I was looking at the precursor to that program last year and EG Sim is what you're looking for. Unfortunately, you are correct that it will expire every 60 days. What about just getting a wifi phone like the LG070?
