lync 2013 can work with skype but it's a massive loving pain in the cloaca to get working on both the server side and for actual end users

here's a preview:
you need to send a federation request to microsoft which takes up to a month so your servers can talk to ms servers
users can only add ms account skype users (ie nobody)
if the ms account uses a non-ms email address then you have to gently caress around with the formatting before it works. this is on the client application btw, so end users are supposed to know to change sballmer@clippers.com to sballmer(clippers.com)@msn.com

microsoft's internal brand guide specifies that desktop should be lowercase unless general title casing is applied. headers don't get title casing, only sentence casing without closing punctuation

Halo 4 for 360 included a 2nd disc to install the multiplayer data from because asking its users to download 2 gigs was pushing it. But for this collection they had a bullet point of "all of Halo on one disc omgomgomg" and I guess they figured it was better to stay technically correct and ship on one disc while forcing several petabytes to end users on launch day

there's also no halo 1-only matchmaking because that would be hard? so the matchmaking modes are a combination of all the different games

also when they do release halo 1-only matchmaking, it will be limited to 2v2 and will not be 4v4 like the others

the console market is far, far too built around used game sales and trades (especially in japan) for this to work, i think
