I legit like Soul Hackers and Persona 1, I can understand the dislike for them but unlike, oh, Strange Journey, they have their ridiculous dungeon design coupled with fun battles. Persona 2 is really good regardless of your tolerance for old school design, as it evolves P1's formula with some more modern sensibilities, plus you can save anywhere so the dungeons are much less annoying.

Asura (Sun) x Susano-O (Fool) will work, as will Asura x Ananta/Atavaka (Aeon). The former requires 12 Personas though, unless you already have them saved in the Compendium.

I had Susano-O, and... yeah making Asura was a total pain in the rear end. Looks as if it'll be worth it though, Asura looks useful.

I really liked Soul Hackers re-release on 3DS, but I really don't think P1 aged well at all. Soul Hackers are actually fun and P1 is tedious. Strange Journey gets annoying as poo poo toward last 1/3 of the game due to dungeon design. Battles are fine. I'd love SJ 3DS remake with redone dungeons. P2 was good, but it still annoys the hell out of me with the whole PSP/PS1 situation with the split parts. Gah... I do have the Japanese PSP copy but haven't had PSP for years. Hmm... is there an english patch for P2EP?

Oh yeah, we never got the 2nd half translated.. that loving sucks. In Europe there's no way to play the 2nd half, the PS1 version is not on the PSN.

I mean with PS1 games it's not a huge deal. There's so many ways to play games cross-region or with fan patches and that sort of thing. That said I have had Innocent Sin for years and never got past the first couple of hours. I need to get back into it but man the battles bored me, especially coming from other SMT games which have pretty good battle systems.

I bet the PS4 version is why it got pushed back. Wonder when they decided to have a PS4 version, since until TGS it was always just assumed to be PS3 exclusive.

Sales and marketing. It's a much easier sell generally if it's cross gen. We're at the point where lots of people won't consider buying last gen games at this point. (Not that I actually think that's true of Persona, given its fanbase, but still.) Plus, Sony probably wanted another "PS4 Exclusive".
