Flex is also super great at killing a lot of these jailbreak checks, as well. In fact, I would not be surprised if the functionality of TSProtector or similar tweaks could be duplicated perfectly just by using Flex. I would also call Flex one of those must-own tweaks for anyone who likes to tinker under the hood of apps or games.

Any way to replace the folder icons? I've got a nice looking desire theme, but the folder screen looks really off.

Is there something like Switchspring for iOS 8? And is Apple still signing 8.1? I'm still not sure I'm subjecting my 3rd gen iPad to an update, but I guess I might not have the option anymore anyway.

So like 2 or 3 nights ago I stripped everything BUT the actual jailbreak off my 6+ to diagnose if the battery would go back to it's awesome '1.5 - 2 days without a charge' capacity. It's still basically hitting 20% warning by about 9pm and I feel like I'm using my phone far less intensely than I was when it first came out (when it impressed me.) If it's not the jailbreak (which I guess I will have to unjailbreak to find out... I wonder if maybe it is 8.1?

I updated my iPad 3 to 8.1 just for the new jailbreak and it's been doing just fine. I was worried it would really suffer from slowdowns but I personally haven't noticed any real difference from before.

On the fence about both jailbreaking and my continuing relationship with Google Voice. Not sure if texting from a browser window is worth all the weirdness of GV on a phone. Is there anything jailbreaky that somehow integrates GV and makes it less annoying? Like needing to manually refresh the app to check texts? I assume that a lot of GV tweaks have gone away, just like GV users. I may just port my number away from Google and back to my phone like a normal human.

I remember reading about a Cydia tweak to get rid of fb messenger and go back to the way messaging used to work within the app Is that still a thing and does it work with ios8?

Welp. This is just great. In the middle of backing up (which has been 9.5 hours), my device suddenly reboots, and now iTunes does nothing when I plug it in, but pops up a window saying it was detected, but couldn't be identified properly. Guess I'm hosed, and also stuck with 7.1.2.

A tethered backup? Do you have any iCloud backups to use? You can put it in DFU and restore to 8.1 after you exhaust all other attempts. Do you have another cord to try?

I know battery chat is getting tiring but the battery life on my 6 does kind of suck. Highly recommend) F.lux Springtomize 3 (haven't enabled anything yet) It also seems like it's draining 10%+ overnight if it's not plugged in. Regarding Messenger, I was one of the haters but I finally acquiesced when I realized I could set it to Push notifications. It turns messenger into more of a text messaging app, something I found useful and didn't think about before. If you are going to use fbnoneedmessenger, be wary of updating the facebook app "too soon" since it could always break the tweak's functionality.

So this morning, finally having decided to jailbreak my iPad, suddenly I can't turn off Find My iPad. Plus I keep getting bugged about logging into iCloud randomly, even though I'm logged in and I know I'm inputting the correct password. Also when I plugged my iPad into my PC, it didn't recognize it as a trusted PC anymore. My plan was to enter DFU mode and then restore from iTunes, but some quick Googling led to discussions about how that doesn't fix the problem anymore. Anyone know how to fix this? It's not just a question of jailbreaking now, I'm also worried about not being able to restore, period.

Welp my phone wont ship till around the 14-18. Hopefully it will be jailbreakable. Has a anyone use a 6 to record at a concert yet? My friend showed me his recording from a couple weeks ago and it absolutely blew my away how great quality it was. Usually the bass just destroys any clarity but the audio from his video almost sounded like a direct soundboard recording.

Christoff posted:Swipeselection (move keyboard cursor left or right by swiping on the keyboard. I know a few people have complained about 5 icon dock squishing all the icons but I haven't seen that while using it, I'm also using DockShift because I like a transparent dock so maybe that's fixing the squished icon bug. Worth a try for anybody with the issue. On the battery chat: my biggest drain is Home & Lock Screen which I guess is just me checking to see if I have new mail. I would like if I could change the mail app to check mail every two hours and maybe disable auto-checking during set times when I'm asleep, that's probably save a bit of battery.

I was horrified to see it completely filled up the empty space on my OS X partition. I can't figure out where those files are to delete them, either. 2) On the PC side, I keep getting a "Try to activate your device" error. I don't know what is being asked for.
