ban all advertising of: -stuff for children -pharmaceuticals -alcohol and tobacco -payday loans and other stuff for financially distressed people these categories of people are pandered to specifically since their decision-making faculties are impacted. stuff used to be much more restricted, and for good reasons. "we had to do this, to keep the entertainment industry afloat" is an unacceptable reason for pushing to lift those restrictions.

Can we agree how weird it was that large advertisers resisted internet ads for so long despite their reach being precisely measured as opposed to TV which was the exact opposite? Also have the cable companies gotten into the business of selling viewership data from peoples cable boxes yet?
