Yesterday, two Palestinian activists attacked a synagogue in Jerusalem - reputedly in response to the suspected murder of a Palestinian bus driver earlier in the week - and killed four rabbis before being themselves killed by the police. To this, Benjamin Netenyahu promised "a harsh response". Now, in case you missed it: the perpetrators were apprehended and killed at the scene. Bibi has therefore openly declared his intent to take revenge on innocent people, and Kirschen is cheerleading it. Whoever said this was close to a pro-genocide cartoon was incorrect. It's absolutely a pro-genocide cartoon.

A missing detail in this is that Hamas praised the attack, but this is only a useful detail in that it clarifies that Netanyahu cannot distinguish between the phrases "Hamas praised" and "Hamas directly ordered", or indeed the word "Hamas" and the phrase "anyone we can find"

Israel openly practices a North-Korean style "punish the family" policy when it comes to crimes commited by Palestinians, crimes suspected to be commited by Palestinians, or crimes commited against Palestinians.

There's really no upside for any American who isn't a congressman or one of those 35 people. But yeah, the pipeline won't make us any more dependent on oil because none of it will be going to us.
