The full make-up was going on in LA/Hollywood and it leaked over quite a bit. Hell, even Axl Rose had his hair teased up initially. I got some spandex pants, had the big hair, and even had some long scarves hanging off my guitar but I couldn't convince myself to do make-up. There's probably a total of like 2 pictures of me like this because my parents were loving mortified lol

If you're buying a guitar that is consistently good, then you're probably going to get a good guitar, which is my experience with grecos (and these are relatively low-end ones from '91 and '92). Only hard part with them is avoiding korean-made models in the later years. They always need a setup and generally a restring, but yeah, I've bought most of my guitars online, second-hand.

I'd love it to say "Fendar" or something)

There was a little tear in the front fabric but everything thing seemed ok. Then as I played over a couple weeks it became apparent that whatever tore the fabric also cause a tiny puncture in the speaker itself and it just spread across the whole thing. It's an easy fix but I was still pretty pissed off.

Chinese knockoffs are drat good and hella cheap. Fender, Gibson, and Ibanez all have Chinese factories now so those same assemblers are making the knockoffs. You can get a slapped together Fender Strat for less than 100 bucks and with minimal setup it's more than suitable for performance. Those guitars go for about $200-250 stateside just because of the mark-up. In fact, I'm super curious about the knock-off JEMs just because I haven't seen a ko floyd rose before

I like the couple of Chinese knockoffs I have, but you will need new pickups if you're thinking of applying any sort of overdrive. You have to factor that into the cost, they squeal too much to be usable. Apart from that, set em up with your own strings and it's good times....

Noise suppressor catches all of that. The only time the real shittiness of the pickups shows is when I sit in front of the computer. The sound of the harddrive spinning comes through the pickups and makes a really horrible sound. In fact, they're probably closer to old rear end vintage pickups than most things on the market. Chinese cables are pure garbage though. I bulk bought them. Ended up with 24 10meter cables that were so noisy they were nearly useless.
