Considering I've probably seen enough fanart here and on tumblr to make up a single season of the show, I still have no idea what JoJo is about. Like, anything else you get a rough idea. Ninjas, Pirates, Titans, afterlife samurai. But JoJo? Best I can tell it's about a bunch of dudes named Joe and their battle ghosts? Makes no freaking sense.

Phantom Blood is a bit stiff compared to everything later since it's more or less Bram Stoker's Dracula starring British Kenshiro, but it gets better as it goes on, and even the "worst" parts of JoJo are still really solid and entertaining (Speedwagon and Dio are both pretty much the best parts of Phantom Blood, which is only 9 episodes long anyway). Alternatively or additionally you can read the manga which has been going on since the 80s and is still really good and has influenced a ton of poo poo that I imagine you've probably run into at least once or twice without realizing it was inspired by jojo
