As bad DVD/BR covers go, this one really bugs me. Still from Forbidden Planet: The cover: This has actually made me hold off on upgrading my DVD (I got the big collector's edition of that one, which has the much nicer poster art as the cover.)

The world's largest movie poster collection is being sold with the initial estimate being between $6 million and $8 million.quote:The nearly 200,000 lobby cards, posters, and other material collected from over 44,000 films includes the only known lobby card for Fritz Lang’s Metropolis—valued at $50,000 to $75,000 alone—as well as plenty of other rare mementos. In fact, the collection is said to represent “nearly every movie ever made,” so presumably whoever wins the haul is going to have to sift through a lot of posters for stuff like Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever or Delgo or whatever to find gold.

66: The Worst Nightmares The posters for the A Nightmare on Elm Street series are generally pretty great, but there are exceptions... "I'd love to murder someone right now but my neck is killing me" the 'Holding In A Sneeze' version The rarely seen version where Freddy is played by Mola Ram This is a poster for a horror movie With make up by Domino's cheese supplier Little known fact: Freddy Kruger was the choreographer for the 'Thriller' video This is what Freddy meant when he said he was "down with the kids", he's not a pedo at all! Off to the prom! Not-to-scale-Freddy cuts the cake Please ignore the door to a genie's palace Freddy practices for the gurning competition Japan Nope, nope, nope-nope-nope. "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed" It's in 3D OK, I get it, it's in 3D "You woke me up for this?" This is a real thing and you can enjoy it right here

These two Freddy products just baffle me. One of them is a poster for a novel, but the other is the packaging for some gum. (both images are from here) The second one is just weird and honestly wonder if it was a knockoff, but what in the world is "The Freddy nobody knows".

The second one looks like it was based off of Wes Craven's New Nightmare version of Freddy which was in darker colors and had the skeleton-hand instead of just the glove. E-- mind the walrus fucked around with this message at 16:49 on Nov 23, 2014 |

I have a Nightmare on Elm Street kid's book, with big colorful pictures and written for 5th-6th graders to read. It that explains the plot of the first film. They even have a picture of the Johnny Depp blood geyser to helpfully illustrate what that entailed.

The kids who grew up with it are old enough now to start feeling their age (late 20s/early 30s) and have enough disposable income to pay out the nose to watch anything nostalgic to stave off the feeling of the prime of their life slipping from their tenuous grasp. It's the exact same reason you saw a loving ton of lovely "REMEMBER THE 50s/60s" movies in the 80s and 90s.

Also got the Terminator one. My wife has a Jurassic Park one lying around here somewhere that I also remember from way back when.

I remember having a Jurassic Park book when I was a kid that had all the dinosaurs in it, and it said that the velociraptors were the real stars of the movie. I took that to mean that velociraptors were real and since then, I never liked going through our dining room when it was dark, because there were totally velociraptors in the shadows. Well, that's my story.
