A band here has their own lights and smoke machine. I don't think they've ever played outside of Missouri and for more than a few dozen people. They headlined a show recently and their smoke machine set off the fire alarm. The manager was too drunk to figure out how to turn it off before the fire department showed up. This has happened enough times that the venue gets charged each time now so that band wound up costing them more than all 3 bands earned in tickets & alcohol sales that night. Also I would rather listen to a fire alarm for 45 minutes than that band or Pomplamoose.
