The Wonderful 101 is indeed a wonderful game, but not a multiplayer family gig. Grab instead Smash, Rayman Legends, Mario World, Mario Kart, or Nintendo Land.

Guys how do I make Smash for Wii U remember my controller settings? I have to remember to select my controller mapping each time and it's driving me crazy.

Does it not save that stuff when you set up the controls for your name? I only ever turn tap jump off and don't remap buttons but it saves that.

absolutely anything posted:Does it not save that stuff when you set up the controls for your name? I only ever turn tap jump off and don't remap buttons but it saves that. It does. It just unslots your name and sticks you as player 1 with the default controls everytime you change modes. Then you need to double claw grip the gamepad to back out and fix it.

Electric Phantasm posted:Unless you're going all digital, physical imo. That said, physical has the advantage of being collected, lent, or resold. And I don't have to worry about an online service eventually disappearing and leaving me with a game I spent money on but can't download. Also that stinks that the post-game is disappointing, though it is two-thirds the price of a typical retail game. Hopefully it has enough content to justify the price, regardless. And if anyone says what makes the post-game disappointing within the week before I play this game I am going to be red-hot mad. I have managed to avoid hearing the majority of info about this game because I'd really like to let it surprise me, even if it means taking in some not-so-happy surprises with that.

I have more than enough storage space for it, at any rate. Good points, good luck with the decision. Also from what I seen there is definitely enough content to justify the price, also there's all that charm on top of that which is enough to keep me happy despite what happens post-credits.

Club Nintendo has a pretty cool 3 poster pack of 22" x 28" Smash Bros posters for 700 coins. I am considering picking them up for my son's room but then I'd have to spend another 45 bucks in poster frames because my son is ten and sucks at not tearing poo poo up. Anyone ever gotten physical rewards from Club Nintendo before? I am wondering if I should hold out for something else or not because I haven't seen anything else cool since like July and that sold out really quickly.

Even if the post-game content of Captain Toad isn't great, I'm not too worried because with the way Nintendo is heading, they could easily double the amount of content with a dlc pack or two.

Anyone else finding Master and Crazy Hand to be utter bullshit with the 3DS and WiiU iteration of Smash Bros? They've just got too many move combinations that either irredeemably knock you off the stage, or the other Hand knocks you off because you had the audacity to dodge the first's attack.

I have more issues with Master Core but most of them are 3DS version exclusive issues (I'm too loving tiny and I can't see where I am.)

RE: Captain Toad, here's a basic rundown of what's in the game: The game is split into "episodes" that take the form of books with new levels on each page, like so: Episode 1: 18 levels (Toad) Episode 2: 18 levels (Toadette) Episode 3: 28 levels (Toad/Toadette) Bonus Episode: 18 levels (Toad/Toadette) Toad/Toadette are functionally identical and are limited to their own respective stages, you can't freely choose between them. Aside from beating each stage and collecting all three diamonds, there's also a unique achievement-esque challenge for each stage, and you can also unlock time trials for the levels as you 100% them. Time trials and score (coins) are purely for bragging rights, clearing challenges and collecting diamonds are required to progress and to unlock pages in the bonus episode. The bonus levels include remixed stages with new objectives/gimmicks (escort missions, shadow clones, etc), modified 3D World stages (which are unlocked immediately if you have a 3D World save file on your system) and some mystery box-style mini-stages, including a neat marathon-style stage that's bound to annoy a lot of people.

If there other "uses" are anything to go by, probably something lackluster like time-trial ghost on a level for a challenge or unlocks a random challenge map already in the game. Would be cool if it did something substantial though, like a new level inspired by the game the figure is from.
